Come on! This is clearly a 4 star. We’ve stayed in several Hotel Du Vin and I have no idea why this is only rated as 3. Service, food, drinks and decor are superb. The rooms are quiet and a good size with lovely views. We lived it.

Absolutely can not fault this one night stay. I booked a room with a view of Clifton Suspension Bridge, but it was in the distance. Fantastic large room with huge bed and great bathroom. A perfect night's sleep. Panoramic view of the bridge in the hotel restaurant. Much better. An excellent breakfast. All staff in every department were very helpful and the building was very clean and quiet. My only niggle is the parking, but this is only due to the location. There is a small car park which is accessible if you get the first few spaces and have a smaller car. BUT you need to obtain a parking permit from reception. The spaces are dotted around Clifton Village. Also lots of steep hills in the area so you need to be agile.

I stayed for two nights whilst conducting meetings. As a hotel it was great, with well furnished rooms and a lovely view of the bridge. As a meeting space, and this was most due to our specific room, it wasn't great. Located between two kitchens, there was regular noise and variances in temperature, which didn't help with the sensistive meetings we were having.

We stayed here for our wedding night in 2023. The location of the hotel is spectacular and the rooms were nice, though you certainly pay for the view, despite there being a noisy bar outside (at the rear of the building). The bar and breakfast staff were great, but our experience of the front desk team was terrible. Exceptionally limited customer service skills, no engagement, lacked any kind of empathy and needed multiple team members to resolve our reservation confirmation, thus creating a very poor check in and ongoing stay. Would not recommend based on our stay.
