November 2024Room was very nice, very chic although quite dusty. Minibar was excellent with really high quality snacks and supplies. There seemed to be some kind of night club downstairs which isn't ideal for a hotel but we slept far enough away from it that it wasn't much of an issue. My main problem was that we called the front desk over a dozen times in half an hour and no one ever picked up the phone. When we arrived the door was locked and again no one was at reception for a while. We eventually figured out that it was possible to gain every via the bar/cafe next door and did that, but that's not the kind of detective work you want to be doing in the middle of the night.

January 2025We were really looking forward to staying at the artists residence hotel. Super interesting building and nice decor. We stayed in the ‘Broom Cupboard’ which was small (we knew it would be) but there’s no room for luggage, no wardrobe or draws. Ok for a night or two just a real shame the window can’t be opened, as it got really stuffy in there. Bed was comfy. We noticed a few small things that we wouldn’t have expected in a pricey boutique hotel. No one at the desk 99% of the time. Decorators tape still left in our room. Felt a little dusty and didn’t feel fresh. No hotel parking. We paid for secure parking nearby through JustPark. Overall we enjoyed our stay but left feeling like it wasn’t worth the price.

December 2024We didn’t stay so I can’t comment on the accommodation, we went for lunch on my birthday. They’d run out of a lot of things including chicken, pizza dough and truffle - this was Saturday 14th December so wasn’t because they were winding down for Christmas. The service was friendly but slow and lacked attention to detail. Twice we ordered red wine and they brought white wine so not small things. The food, when it did arrive was good. The cocktails were lovely but again slow to arrive. They did comp us one bottle of wine they brought that wasn’t what we asked for and wasn’t very nice. It’s a great space but I wouldn’t eat there again
