Located on Brighton Seafront the Volks has been leading the way in new and underground club nights in Brighton for nearly 20 years, offering 2 rooms of unpretentious, unadulterated clubbing, If you’re looking to have a private party for a birthday, raise some much needed cash by way of a course fundraiser, or you want to put on a club night or live music, we’ve got the facilities for you. We can cater for up to 300 people, which includes our basement room with separate bar and sound system which holds 60 people, and the main room on ground floor level, now with a new seating area. We also have a covered smoking area outside the venue.
Open in the daytimes in the summer so you can laze the day away in our outdoor seating area opposite the beach, with a fresh ground cappuccino, a long cool jug of pimms, or even just a plain old ice cold beer and some fresh sea air. Following our recent extension and installation of a new kitchen, we now also have a full menu ranging from free range breakfasts, waffles and bagels, to gourmet burgers & sharing platters plus loads more.

August 2024I really like this place. The service is consistently very friendly. A delicious pint of Jute IPA outside next to Madeira Drive looking over towards the Palace Pier. And very reasonably priced considering where it is. The acceptable face of Capitalism. Well done.

July 2024This is by default two reviews in one.... As a night club Volks is really second to none. Always a good night, with absolutely amazing music and it's a great scene. I think it really shows that it's about the music at Volks, which means it draws an enthusiastic crowd and you always know it's going to be friendly and welcoming. Of course, the place becomes a cafe in the day and it turns out to my surprise they do a seriously good breakfast, and the friendly welcoming experience extends into the daytime as well.

July 2024Poor customer service - staff are rude, and the manager found it appropriate to not ask us about the situation with the waitress but to approach us aggressively and ‘kick us out’ before threatening to call the police when we tried to discuss it .. I front of my 4 year old, in middle of the day, after watching a family member complete London for Brighton bike ride. Nice one for making a 4 year old cry.
