One of the most exotically beautiful buildings in the British Isles, the Royal Pavilion is the magnificent former seaside residence of King George IV. Decorated in the elaborate Chinese taste, with a dramatic Indian exterior, this Regency party palace was built by a King who wanted to impress.

The lavish interiors and grand scale are testament to this. The State Rooms available for hire include the opulent Banqueting room, including gold dragon chandelier, and the stunning Music Room, designed to look like the inside of a Chinese lady's jewellery box.

We also have George IV's surprisingly beautiful Great Kitchen available, where the King himself was rumored to eat Christmas lunch. Or if you require something a little smaller we have three more intimate, but just as richly decorated rooms to choose from that are not open to the public.

We work closely with several approved caterers (list below), who are very familiar with the venue, and can also provide recommendations for quality AV suppliers, entertainment, florists and photographers. Classical string trios, harpists and jazz bands work very well in the venue, and we have hosted traditional Regency dance classes for some events which proved very popular.

As a venue for your event, the Royal Pavilion is a truly unique and historic setting like no other.

The William IV Room is one of the most versatile spaces at the Royal Pavilion. Filled with natural light, the Regency style hand painted wallpaper makes for a beautiful backdrop to any event. Popular as a space for wedding receptions, it can seat up to 60 for an elegant lunch or dinner but also looks great set theatre style for a conference or lecture. With a large projector built-in the William IV Room offers a wonderful alternative to everyday meeting venues.

A stunning palace, with incredible interior designs, ornaments, paintings, scluptures, lightings, chandeliers, wall decorations, carpets, big rooms, big kitchen, big gardens, and all other things. They displayed everything beautifully, and perfectly. Some rooms are available for rent. The toilets for customers are not big. No need to buy tickets in advance. 1 ticket is valid for 1 year.

Quite an amazing palace in which the interior is possibly more exceptional than the exterior. This is an absolute feast for the eyes, bathed in colour, pattern, gold and crystals and as one goes from room to room, the luxuriousness and excess increases. It is a great place to visit and there is a good film that offers a history of the building with detsils regarding conservation.

majestic! very cool experience. when you buy a ticket, you get an annual pass - you can come back within a year. i don’t think that is very necessary so the cost of the ticket isn’t justified but okay. nevertheless i recommend!

We visited here to attend a Candlelight Concert. It was a beautiful experience and the setting really enhanced the music. This was a casual event in sumptuous surroundings. A very relaxed atmosphere, suitable for parents and mature children, twenty somethings and older people. Contemporary music in a classical style is always a must view for anyone interested in music. Songs were performed by the Sussex String Quartet, who clearly enjoyed playing these unfamiliar songs
