One of the most exotically beautiful buildings in the British Isles, the Royal Pavilion is the magnificent former seaside residence of King George IV. Decorated in the elaborate Chinese taste, with a dramatic Indian exterior, this Regency party palace was built by a King who wanted to impress.

The lavish interiors and grand scale are testament to this. The State Rooms available for hire include the opulent Banqueting room, including gold dragon chandelier, and the stunning Music Room, designed to look like the inside of a Chinese lady's jewellery box.

We also have George IV's surprisingly beautiful Great Kitchen available, where the King himself was rumored to eat Christmas lunch. Or if you require something a little smaller we have three more intimate, but just as richly decorated rooms to choose from that are not open to the public.

We work closely with several approved caterers (list below), who are very familiar with the venue, and can also provide recommendations for quality AV suppliers, entertainment, florists and photographers. Classical string trios, harpists and jazz bands work very well in the venue, and we have hosted traditional Regency dance classes for some events which proved very popular.

As a venue for your event, the Royal Pavilion is a truly unique and historic setting like no other.

Set on the west side of the Royal Pavilion, the Kings Lawn would once have opened out directly from George IV's apartments and overlooks a large area of the beautiful Pavilion gardens. With a large stone terrace providing some shelter from the worst of the elements, the space is very useful for drinks receptions or garden parties. The Kings Lawn makes a wonderful addition for a reception after a wedding in our sumptuous Red Drawing Room.

While much of the Royal Pavilion gardens are open to the public, the Kings Lawn is private area never open to visitors. It makes a wonderful setting for wedding photography as well.

The space is available to book April - September.

We have a max capacity of 80 with a wet weather contingency inside the Pavilion, or 150 guests with no wet weather back up.

The view was absolutely breathtaking. The architecture was surrounded by a serene atmosphere, and the tranquility of the surroundings made it an ideal spot to visit. Additionally, there was an ice-skating rink just around the structure.

I've been a few times, and the magic is there every time. It's stunning inside, and you notice new things each time. If you're there at Christmas time, the trees are magical! Also, always ask the guides, they are all so knowledgeable with interesting facts!

Visited the Royal Pavilion for the Santa event they had on. As part of the tickets, you are allowed to explore the palace as well, which was very nice. The santa part of the experience was ok, I just wish the setting for visiting him was nicer. It felt a bit like a box room, albeit very nicely decorated. Each child gets a small present as part of the ticket. There is an option to purchase the photo taken with Santa in various options such as keyring, snow globe etc. Tickets must be bought in advance and they do tend to sell out very fast.
