December 2024Best breakfast date ever! You should definitely try and ask for a recommendation so they can tell you the right options for your liking and preferences ✨ they were kind and generous to me and my husband! The smoothie was amazing and the coffee perfect! Not to mention the bacon! We were glad we chose them for our breakfast date ☺️

January 2025I am regular customer at medicine bakery in Birmingham mailbox and they have good quality food and the eggs royal is one of my favourite breakfast dishes. The place is nice and relaxing, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have great food service and have the best pastries in Birmingham and really good coffee. It’s my favourite place to go get breakfast.

October 2024Visited this company for the first time in The Mailbox, after hearing good reports about it. The decor was good and well presented. It was clean and well laid out. The restaurant was very quiet, with not many clients, so lacked atmosphere. We were greeted by a gentlemen in a friendly manner. He was informed that we had booked a table and the name to which it was under. He then proceeded to ask if we had booked. Good start. We were shown to a table and given a menu to look at, the waiter then went away. We proceeded to wait some 15 minutes before our order was taken. This set the standard for the rest of the meal. The drinks and food eventually arrived. This was presentable and looked pleasing to the eye. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Tartine. The Rye toast, which by the nature of the bread is dry, however with no sauce or liquid with the topping, wasn't easy to eat. Also, with the French Toast my companion ordered, there was more toast than topping. On the whole, we were disappointed, especially for the price. When we finally received the bill, they added a service charge automatically. I have no problem with gratuities where it is appropriate, but to add one when service wasn't given is not appropriate. It then took a further 10 minutes and three members of staff to adjust the bill. Not sure I would recommend Medicine Bakery and to be honest, I will find somewhere else to eat next time.

December 2024Visited the satellite Medicine bakery in the middle of the Mailbox (2nd level). They have a good variety of pastries and cakes available as well as hot drinks. When we visited the place had only one person working. He was clearly busy and this spilled over towards the customer service which was curt edging towards rude. Coffee was good, cake was good. There were also mince pies (It was Christmas) however the pastry was rock hard making them difficult to enjoy. I have eaten at the main Medicine stores and they are awesome, this satelite, perhaps I was expecting too much. Quick coffee and a cake to take away - good choice. Wanting to sit down and enjoy… Go to the main sites.
