2 night stay Super deluxe double room was my choice. Huge very well equiped room, huge and obscenely comfy bed. Had a little issue with heating but that was easily and quickly sorted. Location is superb, literally outside new street station and in the center of town. Busy on the outside but you wouldn't know it inside as you cant hear a thing of the outside world when in the rooms. Breakfast was limited but tasty and VERY hot. Highly recommend staying

Breakfast not fantastic, but staff and rooms were lovely. Very quiet for central Birmingham. Location is excellent! The building has lots of history and beautiful features!

The hotel's location is fantastic. The receptionists are helpful. The room is very clean. The hotel's restaurant is varied and wonderful. The restaurant staff are the best thing about the hotel. I recommend purchasing breakfast with the room reservation. You will not regret it.

Myself and my wife recently stayed at the Macdonald Burlington for a weekend away. Upon entry the hotel was beautifully laid out, warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite and if we required any help they were with us in a few moments. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the selection of food and room service menu was perfect. All in all a truly enjoyable stay and will be returning when we come to the area again. Thank you to all the staff at The Macdonald Burlington Hotel

We have stayed at the Burlington several times as the location is very central & we usually have a comfortable stay. Check in was great, despite arriving before 12 our room was available which was handy. Note there is only 1 lift which is small so you could be waiting a while during peak times. Our room was a standard double situated on the 5th floor (504). It was clean, spacious & bright with lots of windows. The decor is dated, but that's kind of the charm of the hotel. The shower was good with plenty of hot water & great to have Elemis shower gel & shampoo. Our room was near what appeared to be air conditioning units outside which were quite noisy, but they didn't disturb us as much as I thought they might. The TV was at a totally impractical angle, to watch it you'd have to pull up an armchair or drag the unit its on to face the bed, be much more practical to wall mount on a movable bracket. The bed was far too soft for me, be OK for 1 person, but not ideal for 2 as you end up in a dip. Needless to say, I didn't sleep particularly well as a result. The bed side tables which had glass tops were also extremely close to the bed due to the space. As the corners of the tables were blunt I scratched my arm & my husband cut his head in the middle of the night! Breakfast was as always very good, no complaints there. Not sure I'll be rushing back given there are plenty of hotel choices in the city centre.
