Just booked a room with Lynsey on Reception who was extra helpful. Matched a room rate found elsewhere and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent customer service! Looking forward to staying in September.

We stayed 21/08/2024 in room 420 We paid extra for the room with a king size bed We do like the hotel, it is well designed, beautiful, and a good location. Plus quiet despite being directly by a main road, tram line and train station. However, we were really disappointed with the service we received. We were woken up at 6am to a constant dripping sound, which was the air con leaking. This has clearly been an ongoing issue as the ceiling paper around the leak was damaged. (Though admittedly we didn’t see this prior damage until the leak started in the morning). We alerted the hotel reception, who witnessed the issue, put towels and a bucket down. Due to being woken that early, we expected to be offered free breakfast or at least some form of apology from the hotel. However, there was no acknowledgement. (The reception member who came up to the room at 6am was aware of the issue, and we repeated what happened upon checking out. Again, no apology or acknowledgement of our disruption given.) I didn’t plan on leaving a review as I thought in the week after that the hotel would be in contact via email to say ‘how was your stay?’ After all, they sent many emails leading up to it expressing how we could pay for an upgrade. It seems after your stay they don’t bother to send a final message asking for any feedback though. Needless to say, this lack of service on their part has left us not wanting to stay at their hotels again

A little dissapointed in view it's a Mcdonald hotel. Looking dated and worn in places. Service was fine breakfast was good but avoid the coffee served like dishwater, and they dont do specialist coffee even though its on the breakfast menu! we bought our own round the corner and took it in. Location is good for station but be warned rooms on the high street are very noisy, expected as its a city centre location, would have helped if we could of shut the window tight but it was broken and only pushed too.

Zero stars if I could. I picked this hotel based on the pictures on the website and proximity to New Street Station. My room was quite a trek from the main door and there is no one to help with luggage. Room service was extremely expensive for what it was. £5 for a handful of chips that were slightly under cooked. Barley slept for the heat and the noise from the main road. Tram announcements and local drinks yelling all night. The next morning I had paid for breakfast. It was a bit expensive but I wanted convenience. The waitress looked at me, visibly disabled and chose to cram me in a table in the farthest corner of the room. I had to get people to stand up so I could get back to the buffet. The breakfast menu is also not inclusive. A filled hot roll is included but it costs extra for anything else. I was unable to carry my plate back from the buffet so I ended up not having breakfast. No refund offered either. Best advice is to avoid at all costs
