    The hotel was really clean and in the ideal location. The reception staff were good craic and were able to check us in early. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again on our next trip

    My wife and I had a fantastic stay at the hotel to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It was one of the best stays we have had in a hotel. Everything from checking in, to the facilities in room, all the staff (all really nice and helpful). It really made our trip a fantastic one. Hotel is only a few minutes walk from grand Central Station, the city centre and all restaurants, pubs and amenities. I would highly recommend the Clayton

    The service in this hotel is fantastic and the food is delicious but the rooms need to be upgraded, everything is just a bit grubby. Silicone around the bath is pretty bad as is the carpet and surfaces in the rooms. My room was cold and I couldn't turn up the heating. There is no heating in the bathroom what so ever. Great location, very central.

    Really disappointed with my stay last night. Not what I was expecting given how nice hotel looks from lobby and I wished I'd stuck to the Premier inn nearby as originally planned. Bed linen was dirty, with a curly hair on it and bed hadn't been made properly, sheets hanging out the right side and wonky duvet. Housekeeping were still on my floor at 5pm so I think they are maybe shortstaffed. Bathroom was dirty, found several hairs and had black mold on the ceiling above the bath. Shower was in bath with clingy shower curtain (I thought these were extinct in hotels) rust on all the fixtures, moldy sealant and no detachable shower head. Sink area hadnt been cleaned. Most TV channels didn't work and I didn't sleep well. I was in 317 and had industrial vents outside my window which sporadically made loud noises. Would have left and gone home but had been drinking so couldn't. On plus side room was a good side and bed was comfortable. Will be sending photos of the mold to management. *Update was given a 50% refund by manager in light of issues above
