The Pasta Laboratory sits inside the Richmond Arms. A beautiful pub built-in 1791 in one of the longest unbroken Georgian terraces in Bath. The building was converted in 2022 into an event space for private parties, corporate events, and cooking classes at affordable costs. This is a fully licenced venue that caters to all occasions.
Fancy doing a pasta-making class? Would you rather have nibbles and drinks for a corporate event? Do you need to rent the rear room for a wine-tasting session? How about you take the whole building for a day and having pizza? We have space for up to 60 people standing or 50 seats.
We can cater for you or get one of our partners to provide the food that suits your taste. The Pasta Laboratory isn't a restaurant offering private hire, but rather a venue built with the correct layout for your group to eat together, and casually have a drink at the pub, in a cosy building with a fireplace and beautiful outside space. This is a popular one with team-building events. A good example would be two of our latest bookings with Deloitte and Bristol University. We accommodated 25 lecturers from the University in the morning for a pasta-making experience followed by lunch and drinks. Deloitte decided to start in the afternoon and have dinner afterwards. This is the Cook Your Creations option listed on the Pasta Laboratory website. You learn how to make two types of fresh pasta, Tagliatelle and filled Tortelli, before eating your "Creations" with our delicious sauces like San Marzano tomato and a white wine creamy mushroom sauce. We charge £73 per person. Discounts are offered for parties larger than 10

The Deers
The venue was booked for my eldest son's stag weekend as the main event, a bit 'off the wall' as it may seem. The venue was superb, set in an old pub, so plenty of drink available for the boys to enjoy. Federico was a great host! He demonstrated the process and we all enjoyed making pasta for the first time, 22 of us, music playing. The wine flowed and many a beer consumed before, during and after the making and Federico cooked it up and served with some sublime sauces, much needed ballast for the evening ahead. We cannot recommend the experience highly enough. Chatted with a few locals who all love the pub. Thank you for the great experience and hospitality.

Fantastic experience for a hen do or other group - large or small! We had such a fantastic experience at the Pasta Laboratory for my sister's hen do last weekend. There were just four of us but it was still a private event with nobody else there, which was really great. The class was a great mixture of fun but still educational, we learnt a lot of tips and tricks that we didn't know previously. The pasta we made was so tasty and we were able to take home what we couldn't eat. Federico was such a good host and teacher. And he was able to be flexible with timings to accommodate our awkward train booking after the class! Highly recommend this for any special occasion - we are already thinking of going back with our dad sometime even though we don't live locally! Thanks Federico and Mabel!

Such an amazing experience! It was so much fun and Federico was such a great teacher. We learnt so much and made the most delicious pasta I have ever had! Can’t wait to use our new skills and make our own fresh pasta! Will also be back for pasta buffet and pub quiz which Federico offers at this cozy, wonderful pub. Can’t recommend enough!!!
