Stayed here overnight for a study event with dinner in the evening and it was overall very good. The hotel is large, modern, clean and close to the motorway and has a large car park which is free for guests. There's also a gym on site. The food throughout the event was good, with many different dietary requirements catered for well. The large group meal we had in the evening was of a decent quality and service was efficient. The hotel room was a decent size and beds were very comfortable. There was a safe and an iron/ironing board in the room as well as a Nespresso machine for coffee. Breakfast was good with a continental buffet, fresh fruit and hot cooked options. My only criticism would be the price of drinks at the bar, which was higher than reasonable. Overall, a great option for hosting an event or conference, with good service and facilities.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Leicester Marriott Hotel and I must say it was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the staff were not adequately trained or well-informed about billing instructions. I encountered numerous issues with my billing, including being charged for expenses that were clearly outlined as part of my booking package. Furthermore, the attitude of the staff throughout my stay was utterly appalling. I was met with rudeness and incompetence at every turn, with staff members displaying a lack of professionalism and courtesy. It was clear that customer service was not a priority at this hotel, as my concerns were brushed off and ignored. The handling of the overall guest experience was nothing short of abysmal. From the mishandling of billing instructions to the dismissive attitude of the staff, it was evident that the Leicester Marriott Hotel falls far short of providing a satisfactory experience for its guests. I felt as though my concerns were not taken seriously and that my experience did not matter to the staff. I would strongly advise against staying at the Leicester Marriott Hotel if you value a positive guest experience. The lack of professionalism, poor staff attitude, and mishandling of billing instructions make this hotel a truly disappointing choice for accommodation. I regret my decision to stay at this hotel and will certainly not be returning in the future.

We booked four rooms at this hotel several weeks in advance and specifically requested a late check-out. The booking agent assured us that a note was placed on the system and that the hotel staff would be aware of this request. However, upon arrival with our group of 8 adults and 8 children, we were told there was no record of the late check-out on their system. Despite insisting that the booking department had confirmed this, the reception staff were not only unhelpful but also incredibly rude, refusing to accommodate our request due to a wedding booking.We asked to speak to the manager, only to be told that they were in a meeting. We requested a call back from the manager, which never happened. While waiting, we contacted the booking line, and they confirmed that there was indeed a note on the system about our late check-out request.When we finally went to our rooms, we were shocked to find bottles of alcohol left outside, and one of the children even fell over the rubbish left in the corridor. The rooms, which were supposed to be clean, were in a terrible state and smelled strongly of weed. Again, we requested for the manager to contact us, but no one bothered to assist or even call us back.To make matters worse, the next morning, our door keys were deactivated at midday, even though our check-out was confirmed for 1 pm. This experience was completely unacceptable, especially for a hotel that once catered to families. The environment now seems to encourage inappropriate activities such as heavy drinking and drug use. The rooms are dirty, old, and poorly maintained, and the staff show no interest in helping guests or addressing their concerns.I would not recommend this hotel to any families. It is disappointing to see such a decline in quality and service, especially for a Marriott-branded property. It is shameful and certainly not up to the standards one would expect from Marriott. Avoid at all costs.

The service in this hotel feels like a bad joke. Instead of booking for three nights, the hotel only made a reservation for two. Twice a day, I spoke with the reception to resolve this issue. Eventually, it was sorted out. The next day, it turned out that my room card didn’t work because they still hadn’t corrected the reservation. There is zero accountability. The staff is unprofessional, unfriendly, and doesn’t apologize for their mistakes. I will never come here again.
