Heavenly Recordings' bar, venue, club, events and cafe workspace in W1 The Social opened in 1999 and is an an award winning London institution. Designed back then by a partnership of David Adjaye and Will Russell (now of Pentagram) with the proviso of withstanding nuclear attack or – at the very least – the worst that people could chuck at it, The Social has launched over a million hugely successful hangovers.
Unchanged in a decade and a half, the upstairs bar is made up of 5 large leather booths set around an aged gunmetal grey table. The room itself is entirely clad in wood. Originally sauna-like, the walls have matured like a Soho dandy due to years of excessive smoking and drinking. Ever-present in the corner is a beautiful, hard working AMI Continental Jukebox. It's great for private or corporate parties.

Small, hidden bar serving cocktails. We were looking for a bar around Oxford street and came across this place. It had a nice vibe with a dj playing music. Great place to go that’s a bit less busy than everywhere else.

Went for a gig last night and had possibly the best espresso martini of my life. If you go and see a cute blond bartender working, make sure to order one!

Decent venue, choice of booze not bad. Scammed by Gary Crowley though, promised a PA by an 80’s singer, but no show. Disappointing.
