A stunning Botanical-themed restaurant and cocktail bar, located on Temple Street and a stone’s throw away from Grand Central and New Street Station.

They are renowned for their delicious hanging kebabs and ‘posh pub’ classics and, of course, their expertly made cocktails infused with fresh fruits and herbs. Their Sunday roasts are also some of the best you’ll find in Brum.

Upon entering the venue, you’ll find a spectacular central skylight window which lets in plenty of natural light, brilliant for those sunny lunchtime dates; and a lovely courtyard with overhead cover and heaters for those chilly days.

Take a few steps downstairs and you’ll come across the Plant Room, a space that can accommodate up to 100 guests, with its own private bar, guest toilets and unique interior. And for anyone who would like to try their hand at making their own cocktail, The Botanist hosts cocktail masterclasses with its expert mixologists – perfect for groups of friends and team-building events.

Their new Festive Food & Drinks menu will launch from the 20th November, just in time for the Christmas period. This is quite possibly the cosiest and most homely venue you can visit around this time of year.

Our bright and intimate Private Dining Room can host up to 24 guests (seated) for a sit-down dinner, or a casual get together where we can offer a finger-food style menu for up to 35.
This space is perfect for an engagement dinner, corporate meeting space, client hosting space and many more!
The room consists of a TV, projector & screen and surround sound system where you can connect your own music; and is also available to decorate to make it the perfect setting for your guest of honour.

Had a wonderful evening at The Botanist Restaurant! The ambience was fantastic, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere perfect for a nice evening out. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which significantly contributed to our enjoyable experience. Marlena, our waitress, was very patient with us and ensured we had everything we needed. Joanna, the manager, was attentive and made sure our visit was pleasant. The food was delicious, exceeding our expectations. If you’re looking for a place with a great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service, The Botanist Restaurant is definitely worth checking out.

Superb hanging kebabs (the standard chicken is all you need if you are a meat-eater, go for loaded fries with buffalo sauce with them), gorgeous building, buzzing area, top service. Perfect weekend night out with mates.

Not a bad little cocktail bar, with top shelf decent spread or runs, whiskeys and gin. Not cheap either... Usually have live music and that's rather nice Not too busy either. Older crowd...as in over 30's. Good place to chill away from the rowdy joints along temple street.

Came in at a very early and quiet time of day which probably didn't do it justice, as I can imagine it's probably a lot livelier as the day goes on. It was still ok in there, very nicely done up inside. I didn't have anything to eat so can't comment on the food, just had a cocktail and a beer which were both fine.
