The best rooms in Chelmsford!!! This is my second time staying here and this time I have taken advantage of the VIP Club that gives me free parking, upgrades, etc. I booked a standard room and upon arrival got upgraded to a wonderful, spacious premium room with double aspect windows and a huge, comfortable bed! The bathroom has a large freestanding bathtub and a very comfi walk in shower. The room is spotless and there is a coffee machine, kettle and a nice selection of teas and coffees. I'm more of a continental breakfast kind of gal but I tried the cooked breakfast this morning and really loved it. I think I might try their brunch option tomorrow since I have a late morning meeting with my clients, here. Ohh yes, dinner was lovely (nice, tasty dishes and large portions). The team is professional and so friendly. A great athmosphere all around! Thank you for the lovely stay!

Only used the meeting rooms and the ballroom for a dinner. Very easily accessed as it is within a 7min walk from the Chelmsford train station, and there's ample parking at the back. Warm and the bar is roomy. Great catering by the staff for a dinner with about 60 guests. It was a Burns Night dinner of Cock-a-leekie soup, haggis with whiskey sauce, mashed potatoes and carrot. I had the cheese plate while others had the apple pie in custard which was reportedly very good. Thank you to the staff who made it an excellent night.

The hotel was nice but not for the money I paid i paid 200 for a premium room and it was nice but very small. The breakfast was okay but not to my liking as the eggs were very watery and there was a 5 pound charge to have breakfast in our room. On leaving we waited ages in the bar for someone to come and serve us so in the end we left. The staff were friendly but not very attentive all in all it's was a okay experience but won't be going back.
