May 2024Well laid out exhibits mainly focussed on geological, natural history and art. The 8 yr old in our group really enjoyed the hands on displays on the trolleys from the enthusiastic volunteers. Free entrance and we spent 2 hours in total exploring.

May 2024This is a great historical museum! Kids will love seeing all the natural history exhibits, including dinosaurs, rocks, and crystals. There's so much to explore, and the museum is quite large – we easily spent 3-4 hours there. It's convenient that they also have a shop, restaurants, and restrooms on-site.

March 2024Incredible museum. A wonderful collection of artworks and insightful exhibitions - the writing/captions complemented the work well and enhanced my experience. I loved the mix of modern & historical pottery, and overall the mix of modern & historical art. It was all brought into the context of today well. I didn't spend as long in the natural history section but this was also very well presented. I really dislike when a museum has so much that things lose their meaning, and this was not like that at all. Best museum experience I have had so far.

June 2024They have some really interesting art pieces and interesting fossils! Especially loved the new dinosaur exhibit and the Van Gogh selfie painting! Definitely a must visit when you're in Wales!

March 2024Lovely little cafe on site that sells sandwiches, cakes, and hot and cold drinks. The walk the ages has lots to look at and loads of information boards and videos you can watch. The videos have the option to listen in welsh or English and have subtitles. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable as well, giving some amazing little facts. There are lifts on site to get between the floors. Some of the art expeditions upstairs were closed on our visit, but there is still plenty to look at. We spent about an hour and a half here, but easily could have spent longer here (I didn't get the chance to read most of the information boards due to excitable kids). Lots of parking nearby. Wheelchair and pushchair accessible. Lovely little gift shop and toilets available on site as well. Free entry, but there are plenty of donation points throughout. If you wish to donate. Some where you can put cash and some contactless donation points for card payments as well.
