The Town Hall is a Grade II listed building set in the heart of London's vibrant East End. Featuring avant-garde design with Edwardian architecture and Art Deco interiors, this is an unforgettable venue and it's no wonder the hotel has been repeatedly chosen as a filming locations for productions such as Atonement, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Brideshead Revisited and even Poirot. Whether you're organising a wedding, product launch, conference or board meeting, events at Town Hall are more than just a gathering.

This stunning art-deco room was the imposing Council Chamber and retains raised seating in green leather with fold down wooden desks. Containing equipment for professional film screening, this makes a highly individual lecture or theatre style venue for up to 100 people, while its ante-chamber makes a wonderful drinks or reception area.

The rooms at the hotel are absolutely top notch, and are decorated to a very high standard. My room on the ground floor has the highest ceiling, making the room feel massively spacious. The full kitchen and washing machine is so useful. The staff are also so kind and accommodating. They have gone above and beyond for me. Very big thanks to Camille and Mo!!!!

We had a lovely stay at the Town Hall in the last week of December 2024. It is located just a short walk away from Bethnal Green station, which makes it very easy to commute into the city. We stayed in a Signature One Bedroom Suite and were very impressed with the space and amenities. We loved having a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and cooktop. We had issues with the room we were initially assigned. These concerns were listened to by the manager, who assigned us to a new room within the hour which was greatly appreciated. The only con was that the air conditioner didn’t work in our suite, but the radiators did a good job of keeping the rooms warm. Thanks for a great stay.

Unfortunately this hotel has gone downhill - the service is dreadful and the rooms look good at first glance but are in need of some attention. We stayed for two nights and on the first morning our shower completely flooded the bathroom- the door was not watertight. We had to soak all our towels mopping the floor then asked for them to be replaced as we went out for the day. When we came back at 4pm the room hadn’t been touched or cleaned- I was surprised but the receptionist said they prioritise rooms being turned over for new guests, which was an irrelevant factor from my perspective as I wanted to now have some downtime in the room I paid for! So I had to make myself scarce while it was cleaned. Then the next morning, they had the cheek to give me a bill for a housecleaning charge which was “optional” but £16 per night. They give this to everyone and while it was ridiculous in our case because we hadn’t had the room cleaned at a reasonable time during the day, but the vagueness of the charge is wierd- they make out that it is for tips for housekeeping and other costs, so I highly doubt the housekeeping staff get it all. The staff on the reception are really unhelpful and respond with pointless excuses. Overall have impression it is badly run, cuts corners and needs a bit of investment. We had our wedding here 12 years ago and was a great experience- a shame it’s now so mediocre.
