Aqua Shard
Level 31, The Shard, London, SE1 9RY -
Up to
360 guests
London, all of it, is the backdrop to any event at Aqua Shard – the restaurant is on level 31 of western Europe’s tallest building. Even the toilets come with a view. A distinctly British theme runs through the venue, from the Liberty-print banquettes to a home-grown menu that includes Cornish leg of lamb, and beef rump with Welsh egg. There’s a spacious private dining room if your event is a little more exclusive, or there’s the semi-private Gin Wing for larger affairs. Its little sister, Tea Wing, is another glass-clad space available for events. Hire the whole place and you’ll have room for 180 diners or a stand-up reception for twice as many.

My sister was celebrating her birthday. I had added this detail when booking the reservation. Our waiter brought out a chocolate treat for her at the end of our meal. Waiting staff very attentive. Although we hadn't booked window seats, that is where we were seated. Great view of London. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend going!

We attended Aqua Shard for the views on our short trip to London. Our meal was right as they opened so not very busy, which meant we were able to get a fantastic window table which we very much appreciated. Service was impeccable, our waiter was very helpful and able to make recommendations. We opted for the set lunch menu, 3 courses with the Bellini. Every dish from that menu was fantastic, some of the best food we have ever had. I had the salmon as a starter, and the flavours were beautifully matched across the entire dish, irrespective of the sheer amazing quality of the salmon which spoke for itself. My partner had the ham hock which was delightful. For mains I had the pumpkin ravioli and he had the chicken - both gorgeous. The only suggestion I could make is that our side, the carrots, could have been better - whilst flavourful, they were still half raw so not a great pairing texturally to our very soft textured mains. Overall we had a fabulous experience and it was a great way to absorb the London cityscape with some top notch dining.

Lovely tasteful, well presented lunch. We added bread, butter and two bottles of water. Service charge was added. Do not take the window seat near the service area, this is a high traffic area. All other seats wonderful. We were given a complementary birthday dessert and song..unexpected and welcomed. We had a little issue with a staff member at the door that the manager sorted out for us. We appreciated t he managers support.

Lovely experience at Aqua Shard. I dined in at the end of July. Admiring the sunset over London from the tallest building in Europe was a great joy. I really loved the attention to details, from the receptionists to the waitresses. Everything was clean and pristine. The dinner was well paced and the waitress always responsive. Great wine collection. I loved the triple chocolate dessert. Overall a nice one of a kind experience, I will come back.

Fantastic experience with stunning views. The food was good but not exceptional, especially considering the cost. And I would suggest the 15% service charge is a little excessive. For just the two of us dinning was £45!! That all said we both really enjoyed it and had a great evening.
