Tucked away in a luxury apartment complex five minutes from Aldgate station, Amber is a Middle Eastern all-dayer, offering a menu of sharing plates. The modern space is light and airy, with bamboo furniture and hanging house plants creating a relaxed vibe. Come dinnertime, the open kitchen turns out a run of delectable small plates, starting with the likes of crispy squid dipped in harissa mayo, and charcoal-baked bread with lashings of soft butter. Next up come more substantial takes, including a plate of warm and doughy pide which arrives stuffed with uber-fresh cubes of feta and spicy chorizo, completed by an assembly of veg: velvety caramelised onions, bursts of cherry tomato and goats’ cheese. Elsewhere, meltingly-soft pork belly is topped with crispy crackling and bitter bundles of kimchi, while for dessert, there are daily-changing options from the kitchen, or you can opt for a slice of homemade cake from the counter.

Just one word defines everything here- Amazing! We ordered Cauliflower florets, kofte, atom, hummus, bread basket and Mango Baklava for desserts. One of the best Mediterranean food I have ever had

Tasty food and friendly staff! We did come back! Twice! Great food and very friendly staff! When we visited for the third time. The waiter rushed back to warm me about the pistachio in the dessert. Luckily, I’m not allergic to them, but I really appreciated how attentive he was!

Comfort food should be the restaurant's nickname. I had synesthetic trips, eating and drinking during dinner. Dessert: Mango balaclava is a dream; crunchy, soft and not too sweet. They are so good measuring the level of the ingredients about everything we ordered. The atmosphere is comfy and stunning, FULL OF PLANTS 🫶, well looked after. Ah, the stuff was so helpful and kind. Became my favourite restaurant in the first visit, I am so glad. Thanks to my friend Ata, who introduced me to this temple of sensations.

A cute place. Lovely atmosphere. The different types of bread is what impressed me. I could just eat the bread with nothing, it was so delicious. If I have to be picky, then I did not like the airy cheesecake, the taste and presentation could have been much better.

Came here for brunch and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest! It was something different to our usual brunch menu and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and flavourful and service was extremely quick. The fresh juices were very refreshing. We chose to sit at the chef’s table and it was great fun to see the food being prepared in front of us. Our waitress was lovely and attentive and checked in on us throughout the meal. If you’re in the Aldgate area, I’d definitely pop in, there’s an extensive menu and we’ll definitely be back to try some more dishes
