In the heart of Glasgow stands the historic Grand Central Hotel.

A much-loved icon in the city. The Grand Central Hotel has a very exciting 2020 ahead. IHG’s new upscale lifestyle brand, voco, is coming to Glasgow following the hotel’s multi-million-pound refurbishment.

Directly adjoining Central Station, the Grand Central hotel will become the first voco in Scotland and is currently refurbishing all 230 bedrooms, with a further 13 rooms being added. Drawing on years of experience in delivering True Hospitality at this historic venue, voco gives people a different choice; a hotel that is reliable enough to depend on, but different enough to be fun.

From the stunning Grand Room with capacity for 400 to the eclectic mix of 21 unique and flexible event rooms, from the beautiful Champagne Bar to the stylish and relaxing bedrooms - everything at The Grand Central Hotel has been beautifully renovated and loving restored to reveal a truly magnificent hotel.

First time I've stayed there.would recommend to anyone that's wants a great place to stay. We also got an up grade and complimentary bottle of fizz. Room was spotless. Comply big beds. The exterior and interior of the building are fantastic and filled with history. It was a treat to see a wall showcasing photos of the hotel’s famous guests, like John F. Kennedy and Frank Sinatra. Our room was spacious with high ceilings, giving it an airy, open feel. Everything in the room was sparkling clean, and the lady who checked us in was very pleasant. If you’re considering breakfast here, you won’t regret it. It’s a bit pricier than other hotels, but worth every penny - everything is fresh, and they even serve smoked salmon and other fish for toast. The coffee was excellent too. If you have a car, hold off on paying for parking when you arrive. Get a ticket and pick up a discount voucher from the hotel to reduce the fee from £25 to £15 per night.

We spent a great couple of nights here. Beautiful classic hotel- our room was excellent and absolutely spotless. The entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was outstanding. And the location simply cannot be beat. Everything in Glasgow is easily accessible from the hotel. Very glad we booked here for the start of our Scotland vacation.

I recently stayed at Grand Central and couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality and attentive service. The check-in process was smooth, and I was immediately impressed by the beautiful decor. My room was spotless, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable, with a cozy bed and all the amenities I could need. The view from my room was great and much better than the train tracks of last time. Housekeeping was impeccable, Kevin who we met was absolutely fantastic and really ensured everything was perfect for our special night away. The facilities were equally outstanding, and a special mention to the bar staff within the Champagne Bar 🍾 The hotel’s location was also ideal, as we travelled by train. Overall, I can’t recommend The Grand Central enough for anyone looking for a high-quality experience. I’m already looking forward to my next stay

Really wonderful stay. The staff is amazingly helpful. Very convenient to stay in the station after a long train ride from London. The room was large and well appointed. So many extras (perhaps because of the holiday) that made us feel welcomed and cared for. The 24 hour reception was helpful navigating phone calls and finding the necessary info I needed despite the unusual holiday hours.
