Reason for Staying: I had to attend London for attending a client meeting Welcome at Reception: Upon arrival was greeted by a member of staff who was welcoming and very attentive in going through times, services and what was around the hotel. Ambiance of Hotel: The hotel was modern with nice pastel colours and clean with even a shoe polishing machine at reception which you don't see these days. Room/Décor/What is included/Presentation: Rooms were very large over 22sq ft which is huge for London as most high end ones give you a shoe box if you are lucky. Room Service/Dining in Menu: Menu was standard but there was at least something if you arrived late and didn't want to go out. Location: Location is central just a stones throw away from the Stand, Holborn and easy walk to RCJ. Costs: You will see such facility and service for a double room for £150 to £193 for the second visit is excellent. Service/Other: I needed some pdf documents printing for court and the young girl spent time at reception to print all the documents without any bother. I did offer to pay but she politely refused. I will use this hotel simply out of loyalty for this one act of kindness. Money cannot buy this level of service and she is a credit to this hotel chain. Recommendation: I will without reservation give this hotel 5 star and can assure anyone that their stay will be as good as mine was. Score: 5/5

We had a 2 night stay here. When we arrived the door was opened and a lovely gentleman took our bags straight away. In a great location with lovely staff. The hotel is clean and smart and our room was the same with a kettle and teabags/coffee. The showers was great as sometimes they’re not the best hot and powerful. The continental breakfast was good and plenty of choice it for extra you could have a full English. Definitely be back again. A true gem in Bloomsbury!

Great location, but a classic example of a hotel charging London prices without spending enough on the building to justify the price. We had a triple room which consisted of 2 queen size beds, perfect for my wife and I with our daughter. However, the room was very cold and the heating couldn't be changed via the unit on the wall. The carpet had several joins which look like they've had an argument as they have clearly moved apart over time. The whole room felt tired and in need of redecoration. Breakfast was ok, but again it all felt like it was being done on the cheap while charging London prices.

Beware when booking the triple room! I booked the triple room through Expedia, which was advertised as 2 queen beds. After check-in we walked in to find our room was a king suite. When we went downstairs to speak with the front desk, we were told that Expedia had told them 3 people and they always booked 3 people in the king's suite. When we explained that we would not have booked if we'd known we would not be receiving a 2 queen bed room, we were offered complimentary breakfast for the 3 days we were staying. Initially, we thought this was an issue with Expedia, however, when we checked the hotel's website it described a triple room as having 2 queen beds. We went back down to the front desk again, and then their story changed to oh that room type is under maintenance and we don't have any available for you to transfer rooms. Very shady that the story changed all of a sudden. The hotel is close to the Russell Square and Holborn tube stations making it easy to travel to and from the airport on the Piccadilly line and travel around central London. The room itself was fine with the exception of the sofa bed. The mattress had springs that dug into your back. When the staff initially arrived to set up the bed, the duvet they brought was completely flat. We then went back to the front desk again. The staff then brought a second duvet that was slightly better than the first. Even with both duvets on, the sofa bed was uncomfortable. The breakfast was nothing special. It included toast, cereals, cold cut meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, fruit, and pastries. One day they did offer hot food like scrambled eggs, sausages, and hash browns though it wasn't clear why those were only offered on that one day. The breakfast staff were wonderful though.
