February 2025Really friendly and helpful staff, quite location and we had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced and the staff went above and beyond to assist us. We had been let down by another hotel after a 500 mile drive and we phoned the eight acres at 23.30 and they sorted us with a room at extremely short notice and even turned the heating up ready for us to arrive half an hour after speaking on the phone. We slept weekly and woke refreshed and enjoyed an all you can eat breakfast with no pressure to check out. Would highly recommend a stay here

March 2025Hotel is situated in lovely grounds . Plenty parking space. Easy access and well situated for Elgin , Lossiemouth Pluscarden Abbey. for main road to Inverness,Aberdeen, & Nairn Would come back. Staff lovely Michelle made us feel very welcome as did her Husband. Nothing too much trouble .

March 2025Worst breakfast I've ever had. Everything was cold and not replenished, sausages were horrible. However staff did replenished when asked. I'm from Elgin and disappointing to see this once great Hotel and venue is very old fashioned and needs urgently needs updating. Staff were excellent, room was dated and pillows hard.Pat tests on electrical equipment last tested in 2019. Much needed to update this once proofed hotel. We received extra coffee and it was taken away by the room servicer so mean.

February 2025Originally booked purely due to leisure facilities available (Gym, and Indoor Pool) to provide some r&r on arrival from travelling 5hrs. On arrival, welcomed by friendly and helpful staff member, Eloise. Who provided me with places to eat out with the hotel as they no longer provide a dinner service. At this point was hugely disappointed to have been notified upon arrival, no leisure facilities, no dinner service. Only a bar, servicing only bottled beer. The room at the hotel, are very dated, walls made of paper as I had to request for a room move as I could hear the next rooms conversation very clearly and loudly as I was on a video call myself, the person on the call picked up on my background noise. Moves to another room, which was kind of the staff, as allowed for a more secluded room for the noise factor from guests each side of me. Room was presentable, larger, which did take over an hour to heat by a wall electric panel heater. Overall disappointed I wasn't made aware of the facilities not being available since April 2022?? And no dinner service available, after 5 hrs travelling to stay. Nearest places to go sit and eat were 1.2 miles away (30 minutes walk), so I won't return to stay, on my next visit in a few weeks time. Again, staff were attentive and available within hotel, but they need to update their hotel on booking systems to reflect what is actually available for use, especially the restaurant only been available for small breakfast options. Bit misleading to people booking with them.
