Loft Events, The Lounge

Loft Music Studios is a 2,000 sq ft event space. A stone’s throw from the creative hub of Ouseburn and the tech haven of the Gateshead Quays. Nestled in the heart of Newcastle’s City Centre amidst the vibrant arts and commercial community. Loft is a few minutes walk from the likes of Northumberland Street, the Theatre Royal, City Library and the Monument, with Metro, Rail and bus links nearby.

Loft Events follows on from a great tradition with the studios, dating back to the 50s, were host to bands like The Animals, who recorded their first demos here, Jimi Hendrix was rumoured to hang out during his famous stay in Newcastle before he became a legend, Lindisfarne ran the studio in the 80s and 90s, even recording their famous ‘Fog On The Tyne’ rendition with Gazza here. Most recently the studio has been host to worldwide folk star and Sting collaborator, Kathryn Tickell.

A New York warehouse style area, drenched in dark colours, exposed brickwork and the all important comfy sofas, a perfect place to plan, think and work.
