We booked to stay here as it was an ideal location after we attended a wedding nearby. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy, breakfast was really good and then the pool and saunas were lovely - the jacuzzi wasn’t working fully. The staff were all really friendly and worked really hard to make sure our stay was the best! We will definitely return

Not bad place to be honest. You are made aware of very early on and through quite a lot of repetition from the staff that the venue is listed so don’t expect it to have all the facilities a more modern Hilton would have. Rooms are a good size the bathrooms are smaller than what you get these days. The views are the back garden are quite nice but don’t expect the rooms to be the perfect temperature. Staff are friendly and breakfast and bath facilities are great

Quaint hotel. It has beautiful views and rustic charm. Hopefully the renovations will make it great. The lack of elevators for luggage made it difficult to get my bags down and up several flights of stairs. The lack of power outlets near the bed made it difficult to charge my devices. I was staying for work and found it pleasant, but couldn't work in the hotel due to internet being slow and frequently dropping out. I had to purchase an international cellular wifi plan for my phone just so I could work.

We booked this location solely based on the photos and location. We failed to read the reviews which left us a bit disappointed. Personally, this wasn't out favourite location but made due. The hotel during our visit was extremely outdated. The water was non-existent, the floors creaked, narrow hallways, dusty stairway, some outlets didn't work in the room, bathroom sink does not drain unless you remove the stopper because the mechanism to use the stopper doesn't work and pulls right out, our room had a mildew like smell that the open windows didn't even help, upon arrival the hotel phone was detached and even if you used it to call for assistance there was no answer unless you called via mobile. There were visible damage, dust, and dirt throughout the room. Fortunately, they are currently going through renovations which I hope will improve the overall quality of this location because it has so much potential. The staff though are lovely. We are diamond members so did get to use the reserve parking, no upgrade but they did change us back to a family room because for some reason we were changed to a standard queen prior to check-in. The kids enjoyed the pool and they do have a small sauna area that is convenient. The location was spot on though.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The spa was lovely and the steam room and sauna were nice. There were some used plasters around the pool which wasn’t nice to see and unhygienic. We had dinner at the restaurant and we ordered what the menu said a ‘rack of Lamb’ however when the dish was served there were only two tiny cutlets for a price of 26£ which was very expensive and didn’t reflect the menu. We went to complain to a woman who seemed to be the manager and basically just brushed our concerns aside which was not good service at all! That night then we were kept awake until 3am due to people making noise above us, not ideal. The hotel itself was nice but a bit tired, and needs a redecoration for a four star hotel. The photos of the website also do not reflect the look of the hotel, knowing the difference now we probably wouldn’t have stayed there. Not the best experience.
