London's ‘best new spot for culture’ according to Time Out, Woolwich Works opened in 2021 and is the perfect marriage of heritage and modern design.
Both historic and contemporary, grand and intimate: Woolwich Works boasts a series of newly restored, Grade II and II* listed buildings. The spaces retain many of their beautiful historic features but being a brand new restoration, they are also equipped with sleek modern touches and every state-of-the-art technical necessity.
With stunning views over the river, a bright, airy atmosphere throughout, and the ability to combine indoor and outdoor space, our flexible spaces are perfect for conferences, product launches, immersive experiences, away days, meetings, wedding receptions, parties and much more.
The Fireworks Factory is our largest space. Its flexible design offers complete freedom to configure your layout on the long or short axis, or even in the round. It's set to make its mark as one of London's most intimate large venues.
The Fireworks Factory has an exceptional natural room acoustic, and is equipped with a flexible system of acoustic baffles to ensure it's suitable for a range of performance genres and occupancies.
The room has been equipped with modern technical infrastructure, an abundance of power, lighting bars and facilities panels throughout, and also benefits from a dedicated control room and loading dock.
The building’s heritage is woven into the fabric of this space with its exposed brick walls, a painted concrete floor and a dramatic asymmetric glass roof, complemented by modern factory lighting suitable for orchestral rehearsal, and a bronze corrugated feature wall. To the south side, a stunning period glazed façade runs the length of the space, bordering the Arsenal's historic parade ground. To the east, spacious, modern front of house facilities connect the venue to the rest of the building, with an elegant bar adjoining our external courtyard via huge doors that offer a unique connection between our indoor and outdoor event spaces.
Whether you want to hold an outstanding live music event, host an awards ceremony with gala dinner, launch a new product, rehearse or record, this space is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
The Workers’ Bar is a vast space that runs directly parallel to the Fireworks Factory. The whole space is lined on one side by glass walls that overlook the
Workers’ Yard, our large central courtyard which is often filled with sunshine during the day.
These spaces are perfect for using alongside the Fireworks Factory and direct access to the Workers’ Yard is a fantastic feature, especially on clear days and
evenings.

February 2025First time at Woolwich Works for a children’s show. Very accommodating and kind staff. Will definitely be back to experience more theatre in the future.

April 2025My first visit (I hope of many), to see the Jay Rayner sextet. The venue was laid out in a jazz club style, so once you were in and seated it felt much more atmospheric but is a decent size space that I can imagine being used for many different types of events. Good bar and it looked like drinks could be ordered for the interval but I didn’t see anything that reminded me to do that! Generally a nice venue, clean and well organised.

March 2025Yesterday (23 March) I took my Mum for afternoon tea at the Woolwich Works Café. Please note that this is something that you need to book well in advance and can't just do on the day. The communication beforehand was excellent and they made sure about if we had any allergies. On the day, all the staff were really friendly, helpful and looked after us really well. The presentation and quality of the afternoon tea was excellent. We were given an area in the corner which had a very comfortable settee. Overall, a great experience - many thanks to Paul, Shereen and the rest of the café team for a great afternoon.

March 2025I went to the cafe for a planning and strategy session with my friend! I had a lovely lunch, a couple of coffees and a snack. The atmosphere there is relaxing and the staff are nice! We’ll definitely be back again to use the space. And catch the brunch menu!
