January 2025My mum and I happened to stumble across the Stump Inn after a drive around from Howarth looking for somewhere which served food. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. We ordered steak pie, chips and peas. Wow !! It was delicious! All home made and not one bit of fat on the meat. The waiting time wasn’t long. Reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend!!

April 2025Amazing food, friendly service. Cannot recommend Stump.highly enough. We were a group of 7. Different ages and tastes. Everyone catered for. Recommend Korean chicken and the Jerk chicken salad was immense!!

March 2025What a lovely place this is for Sunday Lunch. Not been before and stumbles across this lovely pub. Offering a carvery and normal menu. The Broccoli cheese on the carvery was to die for. Moist turkey too. 10/10 would recommend. Hats off to the chefs.

March 2025Restaurant review only.. We booked for a birthday meal, the service initially was quite good, the serving staff where helpful and timely... The food on the other hand was not very good at all. Firstly I was served a coffee with a biscuit which had a hair sticking out of it. We made the server aware and it was it was rectified with a fresh cookie. We then ordered their Roast carvery option, this wasn't very nice, the vegetables where dried and had been left too long and the roast meat was far too tough to cut never mind chew. The portions of chips where obviously re heated as the where very dark and burnt. We did mention it to and where charged for a small carvery instead of a large... Whole thing was disappointing as we went for a birthday meal... We won't going again.
