The Bloomsbury Theatre Building was officially opened in 1968 as The Central Collegiate Building.
The auditorium, which held over 500 people soon became the Collegiate Theatre. It was renamed in 1982 as Bloomsbury Theatre to reflect its geographical location as well as the artistic associations of the name. The main theatre was closed in 2015 and there are plans to reopen a theatre von a similar scale in 2018.
The Bloomsbury Theatre Studio is a multi-use, black box studio space suitable for all forms of production. The floor is sprung with black dance floor permanently installed. It is also suitable for presentations and lectures. It is available in various seating layouts and capacities depending on the type of event.

December 2024Lovely little theatre. Good atmosphere. Only thing is bring food with you as student bar was closed on a Saturday and nearest food was at Euston Station itself.(5 minute walk) other than that good play and comfy seats. Also they have booster seats

January 2025My 2 year old LOVED the Stick Man show; at first we, the parents, weren’t too keen, but once we understood the message it became a lot nicer. The artists were great and obviously loved their act. Our son got really involved it was very pleasant to see, and seeing santa at end was a big bonus
