We recently celebrated my mother-in-law’s surprise 80th at The Palm Court. They couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. We had it in the Sanderson Room, set with its own private bar, which was the perfect space for our large family gathering. Caitlin and Jena were absolutely fantastic. They made sure we were looked after the whole afternoon. Beverly was really helpful when we arrived too, and made sure we had everything we needed. My mother-in-law had the most incredible and memorable celebration and we have The Palm Court to thank for that.

We had our wedding here at the Palm Court in August 2024. Sharlene was our wedding planner and she was so helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. She made sure all our thoughts and opinions were listened too and valued and advised us through the whole process. When it came to the day we could not fault a thing, the venue was beautiful, the food was fantastic and the staff were amazing! We were all very well looked after and everything went without a hitch. The staff went about and beyond on the day, even driving us into the city centre for photos when our taxi never turned up. We can honestly say thank to the Palm Court we had the best day of our lives! 🤍

We stayed at Palm Court Hotel Aberdeen for 2 nights, 26 & 27 Feb 2025. We stayed in accessible room 2. Room was very suitable for my husband’s mobility needs and had been recently decorated to a high standard. However the floor of the shower/wet room could be stippled to make it less of a slipping hazard. Food in hotel was of a good standard and service in the restaurant was very good. However the walk way to room 2 and room 1, both accessible rooms, is in dire need of a deep clean and fresh coat of paint! I had no issue with entrances to the kitchen being off the walk way but to say the walk way is filthy is an understatement! I am shocked that management in the hotel think it is acceptable for paying guests to have this as the access to their rooms. It is well below the standard of decor and cleanliness in other areas of the hotel. I commented on the standard of cleanliness in this walkway when checking out of the hotel.

Last minute to book, got a fantastic room rate and expected a tiny room. But got a great room, massive bed, pillows a bit lumpy for me. With a lovely big bathroom, shower could do with more glass as water went everywhere. Nice towels and toiletries, although no conditioner. Fantastic tea/coffee tray with caramel wafers. Huge TV. Hotel itself has a nice feeling. Staff helpful and friendly. The bar was busy with a good vibe, mixed aged groups. Good draught selection. Reasonably priced. Had dinner in the restaurant, pub grub menu. Scampi basket starter was great. Burger was good. Fish and chips, covered in rock salt. Mushy peas really salty. Far too much for me, personally. Fish was ok, chips were good. Black forest cheesecake was disappointing, in the amount of base to cheesecake mix ratio. And in taste. Food service was good, perfect time between courses. No check back though. Negative - it states before entering the restaurant and on the bill wallet that the service charge is discretionary, it is added to the bill. 10% is a low service charge compared to lots of other places. But would have preferred to have been asked as not sure I would have left a tip. Would definitely go back.
