Founded by Aaron Mellor and opening in 2005 Digital was Christened “The Fabric of the North”
Digital went on to collect a trophy cabinet of awards Including UK Best Club SoundSystem (BEDA Awards), UKs No1 Large Club (DJ MAG Awards), Club of the Year North (Mixmag), & ranked 11th Best Club in World by a DJ MAG poll of 1000 of the Worlds best DJs.
It’s played host to a history of dance music with Sasha, Jamie Jones, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Erol Alkan, Seth Troxler, Prydz, David Guetta, Fatboy Slim, Deadmau5, 2 Many Djs & more playing through the famous Funktion1 sound system and in the shadow of its trademark Pixel Line.
Its also hosted a large number of Live Acts from LCD Soundsystem to The Horrors to Lee Scratch Perry & Public Enemy to name a few.

November 2024Musical party advertised mainly as Hannah montamnah and high school musical and camp rock. 99 kid love it all. Dj played about 4 of those songs. However courtney on the bar was amazing. Helped all my needs great customer service obviously management material by far. Disappointed in dj and music sat on dance floor for good hour or so. However 3 people on the bar on a Saturday they need applauded Joe and leona with all the heads. I've worked in hospitality minus wage extra graft they were constantly cleaning bar or serving. Big shout out to courtney tho she's a people person made for this job.

December 2024I Got attacked by a drunk girl and got kicked out by the security even though I didn’t do anything wrong and the security wouldn’t let me explain my situation just kept pushing me towards the door. A terrible experience, a simp security, never going back again.

October 2024Last night I was assaulted by a bouncer, and after speaking to others who also were assaulted and reading these reviews makes me feel disgusted. I didn’t even get an explanation as to why I was kicked out, just dragged out the door and the doormen wouldn’t let me explain my situation just pushed me further. I lost a hat, glasses and a chain, all because I went to the toilet and got attacked on the way back.
