Excellent location with free parking.hotel reception were great, advising on directions and booking taxis. Room had everything we needed and bed was comfy. Had to use the fan because of the heat and the room being stuffy. Besides that, all good

Fantastic location in an up-and-coming neighborhood full of little bars, coffee shops and restaurants, easy way to get to the old town on a tram. Chic hotel. The room didn't not have a thermostat/ AC in case that is important to you. We did not need it and just opened the window for ventilation, though, I found it surprising since other Malmaison Hotels had it.

Amazing hotel and location , rooms nice , massively let done by waiting staff . Managed to get the order wrong, bring the wrong dishes after being corrected and then mess up the timing of the meals with each other. Breakfast was another disaster, no water or cutlery on the table , no clean glasses or plates by the self sever area and staff saying they are really tired . Letting the rest of the team down who on reception were excellent

The hotel is in a nice building, in a peaceful area of Edinburgh and close to a tram stop. The staff are attentive, polite and friendly. The rooms are a bit of a let down - my room had a constant noise coming from the extractor fan in the bathroom and was a bit cold: there isn’t central climate, rather you’re provided with a fan for when you’re cold, and an old style radiator that you have to turn on. The gym was a huge disappointment as per the photos. It’s tiny, with only 1 bench, and an incomplete set of dumbbells (missing the bottom row, weights from 8kg upwards), so practically unusable.
