A unique country house hotel in Surrey

Woodlands Park Hotel in Cobham, Surrey, near Leatherhead and Cobham, was originally commissioned by English industrialist William Bryant, son of the founder of the match company Bryant and May. Built in 1885, the house was a modern marvel and one of the first in the UK to have electric light. Over a century on, the house remains as impressive as ever.

Situated near to Cobham and within easy access of London, this 57 bedroom hotel is set in landscaped grounds and gardens, making our hotel one of the most perfect wedding venues in Surrey. Offering a range of classic and executive bedrooms and suites, Woodlands Park has a choice of bedrooms to suit everyone.

It has two great restaurants: the wood panelled Oak Room and the more contemporary Bensons Restaurant. The hotel also boasts excellent conference facilities as well as being the perfect training and meeting venue in Surrey.

We recently enjoyed a delightful stay at Woodlands Park Hotel for a couple of nights. The hotel itself is a charming blend of history and modern comfort. We were captivated by the beautiful old wood paneling, traditional fireplaces, and the meticulously maintained grounds, perfect for leisurely strolls. Despite its historic character, the hotel boasts up-to-date amenities. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, featuring a large flat-screen TV and a cozy bed. The room was so nice and cozy we almost over slept and missed our check out time when we were due to leave. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always greeting us with a friendly "Hello." We were particularly impressed by Aysha at the reception desk. She went above and beyond, sharing fascinating insights into the hotel's history and even showing us a collection of old photographs showcasing the building's evolution over the years. We wholeheartedly recommend Woodlands Park Hotel to anyone seeking a memorable stay. It truly deserves more than the standard five stars and really should be a “6 Star Review”,

Superb Stay! Everything was absolutely amazing from check-in to check-out! Breakfast was fantastic with great quality food and service! The staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming! Big shout out to Aysha at the front desk for her assistance and Joaquin in the bar for ensuring we have got everything we needed, as well as the rest of the staff. I can't wait to return! Thank you 😊

We have just had such a special first wedding anniversary at Woodlands Park this weekend. Thank you again for organising this kind gesture, it was fabulous! We had such a great day/evening and all of the staff were wonderful. We were overwhelmed by the bottle of Champagne in the room followed by two drink vouchers and all the kind words from the staff throughout the whole time we were there. It was lovely to see familiar faces and have lovely conversations with the team who remembered us from our wedding last year. We hope to pop back each year for our anniversary’s and make it a special treat each year.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for a truly unforgettable visit. A special shoutout to the Front Desk Manager, this gentleman went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless. His attention to detail, kindness, and ability to anticipate guests’ needs made all the difference. Whether it was offering personalized recommendations, accommodating special requests, or simply greeting me with a genuine smile every day, he made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another visitor. Also Housekeeping does an incredible job keeping everything spotless, and the entire staff is attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in providing exceptional service. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I will absolutely be returning!

Absolutely great property! It has some old world charm and the property shows character. The rooms are absolutely cosy - if you’re travelling in the winter, their heating is top notch too. The washrooms are clean, well maintained and spacious and the views are great too. The bed is super comfortable. But the best part was the room service person arranging my stuff neatly everyday which just show the attention to detail here.
