Located at Notting Hill Gate, ULI offers a fresh, honest approach to Asian cuisine. Natural limed oak, soft tones of blue and contemporary art give the restaurant a clean and informal look, highlighted by a hanging garden of pendant lights. Our menu encompasses carefully selected dishes from Asia, all prepared using traditional Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean disciplines. We believe that Asian food should be clean, fresh and healthy, and that each dish should always be made from scratch.

Originally established on the All Saints Road in 1997, ULI became a firm favourite among locals and critics alike. At its new home on Ladbroke Road where our terrace forms part of the vibrant local scene, ULI serves lunch and dinner all week as well as an extensive range of snacks, cocktails and beverages.

The front half of the restaurant is a covered terrace with banquette seating and removable seats and tables.

    Revising my review after a positive experience at ULI. After a booking mishap on Valentine’s Day we were offered a £50 voucher to dine at ULI, which we gladly took up. We were attended to closely from the moment we arrived and sat in the perfect spot. We ordered some light bites as well as main courses and enjoyed all of the dishes (in particular the vegetable spring rolls, which were the best I’ve had). The staff were attentive and we had overall a great experience. - ***I wish I could be providing this review based on my experience at the restaurant but I didn’t get that far. I made a reservation in January for Valentine’s Day. We were very much looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day together at ULI. I was called a few days before my reservation and informed that the service had been changed after I made my reservation and that a Valentine’s Day set menu was the only option available. This menu was £75pp for just a starter and a main course (no drink included). This is significantly more than their a la carte menu. I was not informed of this change of service when they released the menu, and to be called so late meant that it was impossible to find an alternative restaurant given the late notice. I was also offered nothing to compensate for the late notice and inconvenience, which would have at the very least demonstrated an acknowledgment on their part for this poor service. Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience.***

    Sam was very welcomed and helpful. He recommended salmon and I loved it. Place is clean and all the people working here are very kind and professional. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much, I really enjoyed my lunch. By the way chamomile tea is delicious!

    Food was absolutely amazing! Really good and would definitely come back! Very quiet inside, we sat in the terrace area and it was very toasty with heaters. The staff was nice and the food arrived very quick!
