We were in the neighborhood doing some shopping and one of the shoppes mentioned Côte. It was nearby and we walked in during a busy lunch time. The accommodated us very nicely considering we didn’t have a reservation. I adore French food but never get to go when dining with my daughter who is gluten and dairy free. However, they had so many items to choose from for her. The food was outstanding!!! Cannot wait to go back.

Absolutely love Cote restaurant having been there many times when I lived in London. We visited this Edinburgh branch on 3rd January and arrived quite late after a long delayed flight. The Waiter kindly accommodated us even though the kitchen had just closed. He made recommendations of the steak frites, good wine and chocolate mousse to finish. We were so grateful and loved the service and food. Since we arrived as service was closing, the atmosphere was quieter given the time. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious, everything we ordered was great. Highly recommend the steak tartare. The service was great from start to finish, a friendly welcome by the host and wonderful table service by Georgia our waitress. She was friendly and attentive. It was Valentine’s Day so the restaurant had a nice vibe. Would highly recommend cote as you know you’ll be getting a great meal. Thanks guys

After having this place recommended to me (many many times) I decided to finally give it a try. Was it worth the hype? I would say it definitely is. The restaurant itself has a modern/classical esthetic which I really like. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming too. It was after 9.30 when I came for dinner and to still be so patient at that time is very impressive. Onto the food itself. I opted for the Steak Frites Deluxe. Probably the most popular dish on the menu and rightlfully so. The portion size itself wasn't great but when you put that against the price and location it's actually very reasonable. Perfectly cooked. Lovely garlic butter. And well done crispy french fries. No complaints at all. The only thing I was unhappy with was the charcuterie board. The meat wasn't to my taste and the portion size was tiny. Especially if you are planning on sharing it. The sourdough bread was nice but overall not a great starter. Overall this is a must visit in Edinburgh whether you are local or a tourist visiting our city this is sure to be a great meal and a good experience.

poor / slow service, food ok. Forgotten side orders, cutlery, drinks. Didn’t ask how steaks to be cooked. Cote de boeuf appeared very small for two, despite stated menu weight as very large. It was very busy and I understand it’s usually decent service, but this was disappointing. Took over two hours for starters and mains.
