The Royal Institution is an independent charity dedicated to connecting people with science & innovation. All revenue generated from venue hire is donated back into our charity.
Working with our in-house catering supplier, Searcys, we have created a range of innovative and delicious menus to suit all occasions with a focus on providing modern, British & sustainable hospitality.
The Sunley Room offers a wonderful Georgian feel with windows looking onto Albemarle Street. Located on the Ground Floor and easily accessible from our main entrance, it is conveniently located within the building and extremely popular for breakfast meetings, boardroom meetings, smaller presentations, receptions & private dinners

December 2024We hosted a one day conference here and the venue was perfect for it. We used the conversation room and the mezzanine which allowed easy guest flow and was the perfect size (about 60, 70 would be perfect I think, 80 a squeeze).The events team are super helpful, the AV team great. We upgraded to bowls for lunch and it was excellent quality. I'd host there again without hesitation.

January 2025I was privileged to speak at an event in this beautiful historic building, the home of science since 1799. It is magical inside and the main lecture theatre just like you see on TV. The staff and security were friendly, drinks and catering of a decent quality. Such an inspirational place for convening people and disseminating knowledge. Highly recommended for an impactful venue and for a general visit.
