Luxury at this five-star hotel comes with a degree of restraint that’s nicely exercised, for example, in the sleek art deco interior of the Mayfair Room, the largest of the hotel’s event spaces. This room can hold 200 for a reception or 120 theatre style. The light-filled Carlos Room holds up to 40 guests and can be used alone, or in conjunction with the Regency Room for cocktail receptions, intimate weddings and dinners. There are also three smart meeting rooms and the Sommelier’s Table, which is a private dining room that seats eight people and is stocked with more than 6,000 bottles of vintage wine.

The newest and arguably most stunning event space, where intricately detailed windows flood the room with daylight. Sensitively and skilfully re-designed by renowned interior designer Guy Oliver, the glorious new Carlos Room also features a marble fireplace that has stood in the same place since the hotel's opening back in 1897. Accessed by grand double doors from the Regency Room, or by its own discreet private entrance, the Carlos Room can comfortably seat 30 or host 40 when the order of the day is mingling with cocktails and canapés.

I’ve wanted to experience cocktails at the Connaught bar for a number of years so it was great to finally make it there for our anniversary. Despite being busy the staff were exceptional and managed guests waiting for tables faultlessly. A delicious Old Fashioned. A level of opulence I will definitely miss in Carlisle!

This is the only place I have ever stayed in London- because the service is so impeccable! I’m headed back next week and so excited. The concierge goes out of his way to help you. Feels like family and coming home, honestly. The Connaught bar is amazing. They have the kind of bartenders that remember the drink u ordered two days prior. I’ve stayed at mainly Four Seasons properties all over the world- but this is one city where I make an exception. Thank you Connaught!

The most amazing hotel I have ever visited and the staff made us feel so welcome. Sandra in particular was so kind in giving us a tour of the hotel. She was extremely knowledgeable about its history and did all with a smile! Highly recommended!

Second time here for dinner and I must say the first one has been better. I was by myself but the restaurant was full so a very helpful guy from the security found me a table at the bar (shutout to him, he was super kind and professional) Sadly I waited one hour for my food, when I received it I only ate the sushi crisp and not the shrimp salad cause I wasn’t hungry anymore after all that time so I asked for the bill. I paid for everything but let’s say I would have appreciated if the something was offered (the coke, the water or the untouched salad) to apologize for the waiting Then I went for a last drink at The Red Room and the experience was perfect as always

I recently dined at The Connaught’s esteemed restaurant with my mother, hoping for an exceptional experience to mark my birthday and explore what would have been our potential stay at your hotel during our upcoming London trip. While the dinner met our expectations for a high-end establishment, the subsequent treatment we received left us deeply disappointed and reconsidering any future visits. After finishing our meal and expressing interest in seeing the first floor of the hotel—a reasonable request given our plans to stay at The Connaught in just two weeks—we were approached by an employee who publicly humiliated us. We were rudely told to leave the premises because “non-guests” are not permitted beyond the restaurant area. This confrontation was not only demeaning but was made worse by being done in full view of other guests and staff, leaving us embarrassed and shocked at the level of disregard shown. Is this truly the standard of hospitality The Connaught prides itself on? To have a paying customer, who has just left a substantial amount in your restaurant, be treated as though they are trespassing is unacceptable. I expect better from a place with your storied reputation and high prices. The lack of courtesy and tact from your staff raises serious concerns about the quality of service guests can expect. We are now seriously reconsidering our plans to stay at The Connaught during our upcoming visit to London. Word of mouth travels quickly, and it would be a shame if this experience becomes the lasting impression of what is otherwise considered a premier destination. I sincerely hope you will take immediate steps to ensure no other patrons are subjected to such disrespectful and dismissive treatment.
