One of Manchester's pre-eminent venues, the award-winning Manchester Art Gallery is a visually stunning and highly adaptable location.

It is able to successfully host a range of events from corporate entertaining, meetings, training courses, receptions, to charity balls, gala dinners, birthday parties, wedding ceremonies and receptions within its purpose built meeting rooms or internationally significant galleries.

Open during the daytime to the public the Gallery Cafe offers a daytime menu where all the produce is locally sourced and everything is freshly made on site.

Both of these spaces are available exclusively for evening hire from 6pm.

The Gallery Cafe provides comfortable surroundings, featuring large windows, panelled walls and period features enhanced by historical colours from our supporters Farrow & Ball, the space is flexible and relaxed. This space may be used in combination with the Atrium and lends itself perfectly to being a party venue - ideal for DJ's, bands and dancing until the early hours.

The Drawing Room is a quiet retreat for those guests who may prefer a quiet zone and is also a beautiful setting for a smaller more intimate dining experience.

First impressions last.. as we walked into the main entrance we where met by the most cheerful person ever... who gave us all the information with regards the art and also directions externally to our final destination that was only a few steps away. The cafe area was spotless and hassle free... a massive pot of tea for 2 for £4 that made up 4 and a bit cuppas we where made up. Well worth a visit allow a few hours to get around as lots to see.

Really awesome place, well worth a visit! Lots of really beautiful art as well as plenty of interactive stuff to do. It's free to get in, but you can donate if you wish. The cafe is decent too!

If you like modern art, you will enjoy Manchester Art Gallery. The museum is free and open to the public. Very nice facility. I spent about 45 minutes here. Manchester is a very walkable city. You can easily cover a lot of ground.

This is a great place to visit whenever you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The gallery looks small on the outside but its really massive on the inside. It has history from all over the world. There is a cafe and a gallery shop with nice souvenir such as books, candles, postcards etc. The gallery is very peaceful and has a lot of sitting areas on all floors and a “room to breathe” where one could sit and reflect.
