We understand that every wedding is a unique occasion so our dedicated wedding co-ordinator is on hand to help you plan your perfect day. We can offer advice and support through all of your big decisions, helping you to make the most of all that the stylish hotel has to offer.
The hotel is licensed to hold civil ceremonies with up to 120 guests in two fantastic function suites. Our largest banqueting suite, the Bourne Suite, is beautifully finished and full of natural daylight. The room can cater for up to 120 guests to dine and 200 for the evening festivities. Alternatively, the Brightwell Suite, with its own private patio, is ideal for slightly smaller occasions, seating up to 70 guests for a formal meal and 110 for your reception. Both spaces have their own private bar and dancefloor.
The charming courtyard area provides a fantastic setting for a few relaxed drinks with your guests. The courtyard also offers attractive backdrops for your all-important wedding photos.
With a fantastic selection of packages and menus available, you can put together your perfect day. Our excellent chef is happy to discuss any ideas or requirements you have for your wedding breakfast in order to create the most delicious dishes for you. Any special dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice.
When the day comes to an end, we have 50 elegant, air-conditioned bedrooms and suites available to accommodate any of your overnight guests.

February 2025We had a baby shower here . Service was excellent. Mervin and Mohamed were amazing nothing was too much for them . Function space was lovely very clean and looked amazing . Food was excellent. Bedrooms clean and beds comfortable.

March 2025We decided to book a last-minute stop in HI Reading - West, on our way to South Wales from Suffolk. We really found a gem in which we shall be returning to. Arrival: Upon arrival we were met with Keith (Food & Beverage GSM) and Wiktoria on reception, who both were very welcoming and had an excellent sense of humour. Keith led us to our room, as we required a sofa bed, and he was extremely friendly and informative. They also both recognised me as an Employee and Club Member. Rooms: The rooms (51 and 43) were absolutely fantastic - very clean, spacious and the perfect temperature. The bathrooms were spacious too and everything was spotless. Check out and breakfast: I went to check out before breakfast, to be met with Muhammad, who is extremely friendly, funny and informative. He really went above and beyond to make sure everything was okay with the stay, and he even appeared at breakfast (which was absolutely fantastic) to ask if we need anything. Dara in the restaurant at breakfast was also fabulous, and clearly a very efficient worker. Holiday Inn Reading West are so incredibly lucky to have these members of staff as part of their team, and they all represent true IHG Hospitality. As an Employee, I have high expectations of IHG and Kew Green hotels and HI Reading West has certainly met them, and exceeded in areas. Highly reccomend this hotel to anyone!!

February 2025Very comfortable stay in Newbury, rooms not as modern as the bar/restaurant area but pleasant. Breakfast - The kitchen staff were amazing and cooked a yummy omelette with all the fillings I requested - big thanks! We would definitely stay again!

February 2025No idea how this hotel is a 4.1 The rooms are cold, thin bedding with hair on. There is no EV charging even though it states so on the website. Don't stay here, go to one of the local pubs 5-8mins away. They are superior in every way. Staff were nice and friendly.
