March 2025I really like the Victorian theme in regards to Jules Verne '80 days around the World'. The location is convenient near to Liverpool Station though I'd probably prefer a smaller, dare I say cozy venue myself. Especially if it isn't a particularly busy day. I'd also like to see a better selection of beers and ale's. Just one Session Pale on draft on the day of my visit.

January 2025Really nice gastro pub with an "olde inn" vibe to it. Food was delicious and served up in very decent portions. It dropped one star simply because no one tells you to order your starters and then wait till they arrive before ordering the mains.. so we ended up with all the starters and mains arriving at the same time which somewhat ruined the lunch experience. The ambience is really nice and the service was okay... if a little unenthusiastic. Recommended for those searching for a good upmarket pub lunch.

February 2025A pint of Camden Pale Ale cost me £7.30 so I doubt I'll be drinking here again when I can get a reasonable pint at Weatherspoons for half the price. The actual pub is very nice with comfortable seating and a nice atmosphere but I waited 15-20 minutes at the bar to be served . The bartender with the tattoos on his arms was spending a lot of time chatting with a group of attractive women and taking ages to serve them cocktails. It seems his preoccupation was elsewhere rather than serving other customers. Just too pricey for my liking so I won't be going back.
