A versatile and unique events space, Lanark Agricultural Centre is the home of livestock auctioneers Lawrie and Symington. In business since 1862 the company is internationally renowned for its livestock auctions, machinery sales and estates management. Set on the outskirts of the historic market town of Lanark, the agricultural centre has 4 conference and events spaces, ranging from a 10 seater boardroom to a 730sqm exhibition space. Regularly hosting agricultural events, weddings, charity balls, animal shows, music events and private functions, the venue space can cater to a wide variety of events big and small. As well as our dedicated event spaces, we also have animal pens and 2 show rings which can be hired on request for those looking for a space with a more unique twist. Outdoors we have parking for over 500 vehicles, where we regularly host drive in cinema events. We also have paddock spaces and vast acres of farmland which can be used for outdoor teambuilding events. Also on site is our restaurant 'The Gavel', who provide a delicious variety of country kitchen style cuisine, as well as providing the catering for our day events. Evening events are catered for by our award winning catering partner. We are a fully licensed premises so can also provide a cash and card bar for your event.
Conference packages start from £34.50 for a full day and £22.50 for a half day.
The Concourse is our main event space located within our atrium. It is used for a variety of events including Weddings, Charity Balls, Private Parties, Markets, Trade Shows, Music Events and Animal Shows. The space can be set up with or without a stage, has its own bar and access to a newly refurbished toilets. There is a lift and staircase to access the upper level which can be used with the Concourse or with our Symington Suite. The Concourse offers direct access into the Gavel Restaurant and is connected by a corridor to The General Hall, making the use of both spaces seamless for an event. In the evening we have a canopy of fairy lights which illuminate the room and give it a cosy feel.

Cancellation policy
In the unfortunate event of the hirer, cancelling the booking, the following cancellation fees will be levied based on the amount of notice given. Deposit payments remain non-refundable. If cancellation is received 160 days or more in advance of your event date, no additional cancellation fee will be required. If cancellation is received within 101 and 160 of your event date, 50% of the outstanding balance will be required. If cancellation is received between 61 and 100 days of your event date, 75% of the outstanding balance will be required. If cancellation is received within 60 days of your event date, 100% of final balance will be required.
