Cancellation policy

Please Read Carefully 4.1. If the client wishes to cancel the booking prior to an event date, the client must give notice in writing to Oakman Inns. 4.2. All deposits are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, Oakman Inns may retain the deposit monies already received. 4.3. If notice is given by the client to cancel the reservation within 6 weeks of the event date Oakman Inns shall charge the client 50% of the minimum spend requirement. 4.4. If notice is given by the client to cancel the reservation within 4 weeks of the event date Oakman Inns shall charge the client 75% of the minimum spend requirement. 4.5. If notice is given by the client to cancel the reservation within 2 weeks of the event date Oakman Inns shall charge the client 100% of the minimum spend requirement or total booking value. [whichever is greater] 4.6. In the event of adverse weather conditions such as snow, flooding, fire, storm or acts of government, terrorism or strikes Oakman Inns may refund as is reasonable in the circumstances. All deposits and instalments paid by the client, less all reasonable costs incurred by Oakman Inns, provided the client immediately notifies Oakman Inns of its intention to cancel the event as a result of what's been mentioned. If the client wishes to reschedule the event we require written confirmation and shall make the decision on a case by case basis. However, we reserve the right to refuse this request and may withhold full deposit. If less than 7 working days prior to the event we have the right to request full payment. 4.7. Oakman Inns reserves the right to cancel the enquiry at its sole and absolute discretion by providing notice in writing to the client in the following circumstances: 4.7.1. If the client fails to pay the deposit 4.7.2. If, prior to the event, Oakman Inns reasonably considers that the nature of the event is different from the nature declared when the enquiry was made. [the client will not be entitled to any refund of charges already paid] 4.7.3. If, prior to the event, Oakman Inns become aware of any deterioration in the client’s financial situation such that the company reasonably considers that the client is unable to fulfil its payment obligations under this private hire contract. [the client will not be entitled to any refund of charges already paid] 4.7.4. If Oakman Inns is unable to carry out any of its obligations under the private hire contract due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. [the client will be entitled to full refund of any charges already paid].

    We had an amazing experience at this restaurant, the food was amazing and delicious and the chefs were so friendly and kind, I loved that the kitchen was open and we could watch the food being prepared, the chefs were so kind to entertain my young sister while she was watching them make the food. The only thing I am really disappointed at was the service, it was horrible and I can even say that it was nonexistent. We waited a long time to order and when we did the server did not bring our food and the chef had to go out and bring it himself, lovely person. Then when we wanted to order the desserts we had to go up to the server because she did not glance at our direction at all and talk to her. Then the desserts came and again the chef brought them and even had to bring us the cutlery. I have to say that even though the service was terrible we had a lovely time and the restaurant deserves 5 stars from us. The chefs are top of the top and very professional. Best wishes to them and especially Philip for the extra mile he went for us.

    A friend of mine who lives in Hampton told me about this place when we discussed where to eat breakfast. I wasn't disappointed. The place looked really inviting, and the vibe I got from the staff and the place in general was really good. I ordered an americano which tasted really good. I also ordered a full English breakfast. Comparing it to the one you get at Wetherspoons may be a shame, but it was so much better here! The sausage, the bacon, the mushroom.. It was so good! Thank you for the great experience.

    Visited on a Sunday and ordered artisan breads with olive oil/Balsamic vinegar . A friend ordered Garlic flatbread. The artisan breads were the flatbreads no selection whatsoever. We then ordered the roast Thyme chicken advertised on the menu with stuffing and Yorkshire pudding. Arrived without either but the chicken was fabulous so we didn’t comment. Drinks overfilled with ice. On the plus side really good service and a pleasant atmosphere. Just seems very inconsistent and if something isn’t available then tell the customer so they can choose an alternative taking the price into account the meal should be pretty perfect.

    I'm afraid service wasn't that good. Waitress didn't offer sauces with food kept waking away ordered Gammon egg chips asked that gammon wasn't undercooked I got no eggs cos when I said,eggs didn't want over cooked didn't want overcooked just ended up with none at all attention to detail is what is required would've been much better if waiter had queried whether i.wanted eggs rather than serving with none at all if he didn't understand what I met

    Avoid for food at all costs. Decent service but the food is horrendously over priced. The kitchen staff lack any passion for food or skill. Sent the bruschetta back as it was effectively some sad halved cherry tomatoes on bread, the steak at £30 each was overcooked (ordered two medium rare and received one medium and one medium well done) and the sauce for the moules mariniere was bland and watery. Incredibly disappointing meal.
