Lovely place. Some good walks right from the Hall itself. Good cafe on site too which is dog friendly. Parking £3 for the day.

We didn't stay here, we regularly visit to walk the grounds which have easy to follow routes and wide variety of terrains which can take a full day to explore. Pack a picnic ! Be prepared for mud in the wetter months. A wide variety of wildlife can be seen if you're patient enough and quiet enough. Sand lizards, tree creepers, rabbits, woodpeckers, squirrels, moorhens and more. My favourite features are the Apiary and the woodland walk with the bird hide. Great place to go to let children roam free, climb trees and a chance to get muddy and have fun. Highly recommend!

Visited to take a walk, we used the cafe to which was very nice as we sat out in the courtyard as it was a lovely spring day. Toilets also very good, clean and spacious.

We visited to walk around the ground and visit the cafe. Lovely location and walks. Beautiful Hall with a lot of history. Cafe was reasonably priced, and service was good. Friendly staff. Some of the walks could do with better direction markers.
