Stayed here many times and love the estate and it is in a fantastic location to visit so many parts of Scotland. Lodges are well equipped and restaurant and bar are both great. Nice swimming pool as well

If you are looking for a double bedroom lodge with kitchen and all the amenities? They got it. If you don't like to cook and want to stay in a hotel room? They got it. You want a great breakfast? They got it. Swimming pool? Check. Nice peaceful place? Check. They got everything a family needs. Excellent staff. I would definitely come back again. Any improvement I would like to see? Yes there are couple of things. They have a play room for kids where they have machines you need to pay to play. This is nice which we used but instead of this, if they had a place where kids can play unlimited then it would have been better. They had a nice garden chess which we played but they were broken and part of the chess items missing. So this renders it useless.

Shared a lodge with my partner. Lodge is well equipped and comfortable. Very clean and decorated to a high standard. Only let down was the restaurant. Food was incredibly overpriced for what it was. Bar was cozy and staff were mostly friendly and helpful.

My room had an awful smell from the drains being masked by bleach. My bath would not drain and i could not have a shower in the morning. The smell of bleach had gone and all i could smell was drains and the bath was filled with dirty drain water. Management didn’t show any empathy or apologies. He showed he didn’t care and then lied and said nobody had been aware of the situation although the smell hit me as soon as I opened the door. The man i spoke with claiming to be management was extremely unprofessional.(edit) I didn’t have a bath until 12pm so didn’t realise the water wasn’t draining and had nobody to report it to at that time as i checked reception so i reported it before breakfast at 8.45am and said I was unable to have a shower(after spending a hour trying to make the water drain . After breakfast I went to my room and grabbed my things and ran from the room gagging with the smell and advised I was still unable to shower. No alternate option offered. I think the point may be getting missed by Roddy here - I paid £133 for a en-suite room that clearly had issues due to the strong smell of bleach on arrival - However I wasn’t aware at night that the strong odour of bleach would mean I was was unable to shower or use the bathroom in the morning. Eventually I suggested i would walk to the leisure centre and wash there. I was genuinely shocked that an establishment like this would allow their guest to have such a negative experience and then just try to push the blame on to the paying customer for not reporting sooner. I was letting Cameron know that I did not enjoy my stay as I wasn’t asked at checkout and there was no apology. By this point I had spoken 3 times about the issue. He just dismissed me.. much like Roddy. Due to a lack of empathy from both men I will certainly never return here. I hope maintenance has now resolved the issues but this doesn’t change anything for me, the room I paid for I should of been able to take a shower in the room in the morning but instead I had to deal with a horrible smell and stinking attitudes! I hope no other guest will have to experience this.
