February 2025We stayed at the resort for two nights, the staff are fantastic and really lovely people. They really looked after us and couldn’t do more for us. The Food was exceptional, I had the venison pie with mash one night and we all had the rump steak offer on steak night. By far the best rump steak we had all eaten! 6 of us had the steak, several of us have eaten in good steak restaurants (milller & carter, Goucho etc) and we can honestly all say that this Rump was exceptional. The prices in the restaurant and bar are great value. The Steak offer was two meals with veg etc and a bottle of wine for £45. Worth every penny! The cooked breakfast was great as well ( selection of cold items, pastries, cheese, granola, cereals, toast and preserves) tea and coffee and a traditional full English (quality sausages, bacon etc) all for under £15. All served by attentive friendly staff. We stayed in the hotel pods, which are a self contained room with en suite. Everything you need ( hairdryer, iron ,ironing board, toiletries, tea & coffee making facilities) The rooms are clean and comfortable although the heating was a bit hot when we first got to our room. But after turning the radiator down and opening the window, was perfect. Bedding and towels were spotless and the whole stay was perfectly comfortable. Remember to put out the make my room sign out on the door as without this your room won’t get re-made! As we found out one day, but in fairness that’s on us! We would all like to thank the Staff for a great stay and for looking after us and would absolutely without hesitation thoroughly recommend Kilnwick Percy as a perfect stay.

February 2025Me and my family have just returned from a 2 night stay in the ‘ Deluxe Lodge’. We stayed to celebrate my partners Birthday. It was a great location and the staff were all friendly. The lodges were great and very spacious, however I don’t really think ‘ deluxe’ is the correct term to describe this lodge. I paid nearly £600 and it was covered in dust and all of the lodge is worn. I don’t think it’s worth the price at all considering the wear and tear on it. If the lodge was updated and refurbished it would 100% be worth the price. It’s just disappointing really when you pay all of that money.

February 2025These lodges have the capability of being so lovely, and in general they are lovely. They all just need some TLC. I ma not talking expensive things just simple things like the blinds do not work/fill the whole window as they have been broken. Put a poll and some curtains up, it is an easy fix and will make all the difference. We had a 4 bedroom lodge and only the master room had bedside lamps the rest you had to turn the main light off near the door and then try make it to bed in the dark without tripping over anything. Simple fix that would make a big difference. The lodge had a few maintenance problems on arrival, a call to reception each time felt like I was an inconvenience but the maintenance man came quickly and was great and apologetic. There is no way other than a small dust pan to clean/sweep up the floor downstairs during your stay - the floor never felt clean with bear feet dirt and grit stuck to your feet. Put a brush and mop in there for people if they wish to use it. Dishwasher but not one complimentary tablet left for use. There was mini shampoo and shower gel in the main bedroom ensuite, would have been a nice touch if they were not half used!!! Small bits, attention to detail would make this much more worth the money. The lodges are getting tired in some places. Location is lovely and the lodges are warm, comfy and spacious. Hot Tubs very hot and witnessed them being completely cleaned out ready for next guests which was reassuring to see.

February 2025Just arrived home from an overnight stay at the Kilnwick Percy resort. It has been a number of years since we last visited but remember the lodges being amazing so I did not hesitate to book again for my partners birthday. Well what a disappointment! The lodge was not how we remembered at all , chipped dressing table , heating not working and the bathroom was appalling, every cabinet was chipped and clearly have a serious issue with ventilation. On a positive the note the staff especially the dining staff were lovely and very helpful and could not do enough for you . Breakfast was also very nice . Would I return probably not , hopefully the lodge we stayed in 31 will get a revamp so nobody will have the disappointment we had .

January 2025Expensive, poor customer service, cold hot tubs unclean rooms. Extremely disappointed with the stay here. Booked well in advance and booked a meal in the restaurant along with speaking to someone on the phone to confirm. Night of arrival attend at the restaurant at our booked time to be told the chefs had gone home and no offer of apology and told to order from a local takeaway instead. Room was pleasant enough but clearly not being cleaned thoroughly, cups and glasses were dirty and still had previous guests contents and lip smears on them. Moved the sofa slightly and found a stash of wrappers underneath. Kettle also had water in it from the previous guests. There was a random loud dripping from the shower that hadn’t been used yet and only got worse once it had which disturbed the nights sleep. The hot tub never got past 35 degrees meaning you couldn’t enjoy it as you can’t use the hot tub past 11pm or after 9am in the morning. Walked in the room shortly after 3pm hoping to use it and found it was sat 25 degrees so couldn’t. Emailed a complaint through to customer services and yet to receive a reply 2 weeks on. For £185 a night I would expect a far better standard all round. Extremely poor from this establishment considering how highly they clearly think of themselves yet cannot be bothered to even respond. Don’t stay here. Update, received a response stating we arrived at a later time than we did and staff lied despite having proof of our attendance and offered a mere £50 refund and barely an apology.
