Your personal service begins from your very first enquiry. Your very own dedicated and experienced wedding planner will be on hand throughout to ensure that the whole day runs smoothly. From the big picture to the special finishing touches, everything will be taken care of so you can relax and enjoy your special day.
With exclusive use of the venue, your wedding will be the only one at Sandburn Hall on the day. Our brilliant, friendly and professional team’s sole goal is to make sure that you are happy with everything.
The oak-framed Grand Function Hall is licensed for civil ceremonies and offers outstanding views of the fountain, beautiful lakes and across the golf course. The Hall is perfect for large celebrations with the capacity for 80 to 150 for your wedding breakfast and 200 for the evening’ festivities. For smaller, more intimate events, the Sanderson Room can accommodate 30 to 60 day guests and 80 for the evening.
Our fantastic Head Chef will work with you to create your ideal wedding breakfast menu. You will also be invited to visit the Tyke restaurant for a menu tasting prior to the big day.
*New for summer 2017 – Sandburn Hall’s blooming White Rose Garden under the folly is a beautiful location for your ceremony. Surrounded by the tranquil garden, the romantic setting is perfect in the summer sunshine.

February 2025Lovely country club, hotel and restaurant, 10 mins drive from Monks Cross Park and Ride so easy access to York City. Food (Tykes) and accommodation both excellent, will definitely go back 🙂. Romantic break package was £214, included champagne and chocs on arrival, plus £60 restaurant voucher, so great value for money too 👍

February 2025What a fantastic expirience, For anyone looking to get away for a few days somewhere so peaceful, private and top tier this is the place up North, The rooms are top tier, smart TV, fabulous clean room, fridge, comfy huge bed and views from the room👌 The staff are always so helpful, room service and the advise for walks we can do by providing maps, The golf course is amazing and would recommend highly, The scenery 😍 was spectacular. I will for sure be back when the weather is even better and once the restaurant is fully open.

March 2025What a fantastic hotel! From arrival to departure our short stay was simply wonderful. We stayed in a dog friendly room which is always a slight worry as they are not usually as nice as standard rooms. Our room however was fantastic, never have we seen a dog room as nice! We were impressed, Willow the Springer was impressed! We had the pleasure of meeting Leonora and Carl who were on duty during our stay. The couldn't do enough for us and were absolutely lovely, they made a massive fuss of our pooch too. These two are most definitely a credit to Sandburn Hall! We had walks around the grounds, drinks and snacks in the bar and breakfast in the resturant (what a great breakfast) all were simply wonderfull. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars from all of us, Thank you
