November 2024A beautiful historic house set in delightful grounds. Not a huge place but you could still get lost in the many rooms, wonderful in character. We were fortunate to have visited while the house was still trimmed up for Diwali. Lots to look at and very interesting. Lots of ladies working on tidying the gardens which made it feel very loved. The cafe was lovely and clean and the food choices were very reasonable. We had sandwiches and they were served in lovely fresh granary bread with a side of leaves, tomato and cucumber and a home made coleslaw. Delicious !

March 2025Charming 17th century manor house to visit. They had musicians dressed in theme playing medieval style instruments which added to the atmosphere. The walk to the house is lit up which looks very picturesque especially as the lights reflect on the water. There are stairs, only one has a bannister but you can use the same one to come down. Stairs to the cafe as well, although there are 2 tables on the ground floor but it gets busy. Pleasant staff. Grounds are relatively small but the ruined wall is interesting to see. There's a ground level small car park plus more spaces down a steep drop. We were lucky to get a space as it was busy. Give yourself 2 hours including lunch. Thoroughly enjoyable visit to this delightful property.

March 2025Great NT trust property, enjoyed visiting, made all the more special by the volunteers who work here, they are all smiley, happy and friendly - makes such a difference, so I tip my hat to them. Property also has a shop, bookstore (donations) and a nice cafe on the first floor, top notch mocha & cappuccino plus the obligatory scone and cake! 🤤. It's a great place to spend a few hours, more if you make more use of the grounds in summer and it's a reasonable price entry too. 👍 -

March 2025An interesting, quite small, Manor House, situated just outside Keithley. There is quite a large car park, and a rather fine cafe set above the usual NT shop. The house itself is now missing one of its wings, and the rest of the house has undergone many alterations over the centuries. What is left is a bit of a jumble, but still very interesting. Well worth a visit.
