The Winchester Hotel & Spa, Exclusive Hire

I've come on and off for 10+ years and this was the best experience so far. Spa, reception and restaurant staff all brilliant. Food absolutely excellent. Coffee at breakfast was decent strength which is so rare in hotels these days. Beds very comfortable, room dark, shower lovely. Patio area lovely in the summer with a book. Art deco style is a good choice. Hotel is getting refurbished and is looking smart. 2 suggestions are 1. Jacuzzi is a death trap to get into and the tiles are quite slippy so I would encourage guests to wear flip flops in the pool area. 2. I could live without all the female nude line drawings in the corridors, especially as I definitely don't look like that and I come to a spa to feel better about my body, not worse lol! Thanks to all the staff, we had a great and very relaxing stay!

We have had an amazing time, the spa facilities are amazing and very relaxing, breakfast is great value, and room also amazing. Great value for money. Only downside was that restraint was fully booked until 8:30PM and we were not offered the option to book a table when we checked in. We had to walk 15 minutes to go and eat. Also, you have to pay for parking in the hotel car park which is disappointing. Do not let this put you off though, as the hotel is lovely.

This was our second stay at the hotel. For us the location is good but at about a mile walk from the centre some may be put off? However there is plenty of parking here, unlike some in the centre. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The local trout was in a very tasty sauce. And there was a good selection of fine dining type as well as "classics" to choose from. Breakfast also very good with a wide choice at the buffet. All in all we were very happy and look forward to staying there again.
