The 16th Century mill sits in beautifully maintained water gardens and the private lawn is the perfect setting for your guests to enjoy drinks and canapés.
Our team offer a completely flexible approach and our wedding co-ordinator will ensure all the details are tailored to you, giving you the day of your dreams.
We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and can accommodate up to 90 people. Our function suite holds 110 for a sit-down reception and 150 for your evening party.
Our chefs will cook delicious food for your guests, allowing you to select from a range of menus to suite your taste.
In the evening, you will have complimentary use of the bridal suite, whilst your guests will be offered a discounted rate on our 32 en-suite rooms.
The Egypt Mill Hotel and Restaurant has ample of free parking and is within easy reach of Bath, Bristol Gloucester, Cheltenham and Swindon, making it ideal for any travelling guests.

January 2025What a lovely experience! The location is stunning,service from the hostess to the waiter was excellent! A big shoutout to our Canadian waiter! Extremely good service. Food was amazing! I’d give the whole experience a 9/10. Only let down was the ladies toilets! One loo was blocked. One locked. Didn’t smell clean. No flowers or any type of decoration or air freshener. I feel more can be done here! But otherwise! Everything else was excellent!!!!

January 2025Egypt Mill Hotel is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with the added bonus of having coffee provided in the room. The restaurant is fantastic, offering delicious meals in a lovely setting. The location is perfect, right on the river, with amazing views that create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Overall, it left a really great impression, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay!

March 2025First visit. Impressive building and site. Extremely clean, welcoming, and very friendly service. Quick drink to sus out the menu and booked for evening meal. Beautiful lamb shank, and a Chicken curry. Excellent service. Shame we didn't find you earlier!

March 2025I was blown away when I first arrived at the Egypt Mill the car park is massive with plenty of space for all the guests. To get to the hotel you have to cross their bridge getting a lovely view of the river and the beer garden by the side of the mill. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and always there to answer any questions you may have. The rooms are beautiful with some of them having the original wwoden timbers in the ceiling. The addition of the different soaps was lovely and water bottles in the room is always a nice touch. Shame no sockets next to the bed I was obsessed by the garden they have with the river that forms into the shallow pond with sculptures. Then it forms back into 2 separate streams. it was beautiful to have a pint in the evening sitting next too that river. My only negative is the price at the bar and restaurant £6.50 for a Guinness and £3.70 for a Pepsi is quite excessive. Having said that the food was lovely and I understand that the current prices for drinks are not far off what they charge. Overall if I have the opertunity to stay here again I am absolutely gonna take it as it is easily one of the best places I've stayed in the past year. At the Egypt Mill their goal is to make us feel at home and I can tell you that was exactly how I felt and I thank you.

March 2025Servers were lovely and accommodating. Didn't have a booking and they were so kind to get us in on a busy Sunday for a roast. Gorgeous place. The roast was unfortunately a let down.... I ordered the trio roast. The beef was just tasteless and it was all fat. I ended up leaving the beef entirely. My partner ate most of his but agreed it didn't have a lot of taste, and a lot of fat.The chicken was.. okay. It was a bit dry. I really did enjoy the veg and the accompanying dishes. But overall for the price having two out of three meats underwhelm is not what you want.
