November 2024Had a great stay here, clean and tidy room with a good bathroom and shower. Lots of free parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food and bar were of good quality, albeit a little expensive. Would return and recommend.

February 2025Excellent food options, prices a bit high. Staff generally very friendly and helpful. I wasn't keen on the loud questioning of restaurant guests about saving a card before eating. Could be embarrassing for some people. Duty managers go above and beyond. Although I did have to ask a couple of times for certain things like pillows this was usually when an event was happening. Dog friendly hotel and a great setup here overall

February 2025At the reception a man approached me, I looked but there was NO NAME BADGE he asked ".. how are you? " I said I was well, how are you, and do you work here? Without the hint of a smile or any kind of warm greeting, he then asked if he could help me. I asked for two coffees. He told us to take a seat anywhere, and he would get someone to help. There was still no smile, no welcoming emotions. I agreed with my wife, he wasn't very nice. The coffee was very nice. There was a sign hanging at the side of the bar, about smiling. My wife and I thought how ironic that was

December 2024I’m surprised at the 4 star rating and wonder how long ago it was awarded. We used points accumulated for this stay and didn’t feel we were seen as important, as every guest should feel. We’d had a long, tiring day by time we arrived. There was a queue at reception, so we sat nearby. Some of those chairs were visibly worn and torn and smelled strongly of old vinyl, as did the settees. Several of those bore sizeable rips in the seats. We registered, took bags to the room and went to the restaurant. end of a bag.
