Oxford Belfry Hotel, College Suite

I recently stayed at The Oxford Belfry with my niece during half term, booking a deal through Groupon. Overall, we had a great stay, and I would rate it 4 out of 5. The hotel itself was lovely, with a decent-sized bedroom (we upgraded) and a nice spa, though it was a bit small. My only issue with the room was that it was quite cold, as the heating didn’t go up high enough. We were given a small heater, but it wasn’t quite big enough to warm the space properly. The restaurant and food were good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the late check-out option, which made our departure more relaxed. However, my biggest disappointment was the strict pool access times for children during half term. Kids were only allowed in from 8:30–10:30 AM and 5:30 PM onwards, which wasn’t practical, especially for families with a late check-out. I noticed several parents struggling with this, as their children were eager to use the pool but had limited opportunities. Given that it was a family-friendly period, it would be great if the hotel could be more flexible with pool timings during school holidays. Despite this, we enjoyed our trip and would definitely return. With some minor adjustments, especially to the pool schedule, it would be an even better experience for families!
