October 2024Stopped here because Legoland wanted 40 pounds for a 3 and 7 year old to eat pizza. Best decision made the entire trip. Food was great. Atmosphere was great. Some of the best wings I've had in a long while. If I lived in the area, I'd be here 3x a week.

November 2024Quiet, tidy, pleasant on a Friday afternoon. Didn't try the food (serving starts at 6pm). Nice roaring fire, central but in a narrow part of the pub. Good service. Large car park, plenty of outside space

December 2024This is my local, been going for years…today my wife was refused service for no reason other that the landlord is grouchy. So that’s it for us, we’ll go to the Rose and Crown where the service is excellent. Very poor service at the hatchet, maybe I’ll buy Fuller’s shares and be an activist investor.
