December 2024A fantastic location for this excellent hotel. We were able to check in earlier than expected and the room was way beyond expectations. Very large and comfortable and the bed was the comfiest I've slept in for a long long time with beautiful fluffy duvet & pillows. Breakfast was outstanding. All fresh and delicious with lots of choice. We will definitely stay here again 😊

February 2025A very pleasant couple of nights in this well located hotel, right in the heart of the city, but on a fairly quiet street. Warm welcome at reception and useful recommendations given as to where to visit nearby. A list of nearby restaurants where discounts applied for hotel guests was a nice touch. Room a little small (and not helped by a chair which was too tall to fit under the dressing table) but fine for a couple of nights. Comfy bed and powerful shower, although it could have been higher for taller people like me! All in all, a pleasant change from usual chain hotels and good value for money.

February 2025Greeted by friendly staff on, reception who were very helpful. The hotel is ideally situated for the City Hall and the theatres being a five minute walk away. The breakfast was good, but could have been warmer, but I suppose that's down to it being a self service breakfast bar.

February 2025This was our third stay and to be honest we would not stay anywhere else in Sheffield now. The staff are really lovely and so helpful. And they seem genuinely pleased to see you! The rooms are comfortable and warm, it’s a lovely building and so nice to see their respect for the heritage of the place with lots of photos of pupils and staff of the school that was once housed there. Restaurants are on the doorstep in a pretty square, and there are good offers available for guests. The only slight disappointment was that the food at breakfast wasn’t very hot. But this is a very minor criticism overall. The warmth of the welcome was the main thing.

February 2025Nice hotel, friendly staff, perfect location. The only downside: Very high ceilings, and quite low temperatures, plus old building. This meant, the room was cold, very cold. The heating in the bathroom didn´t work, making things worse. So, in principle, nice place, but if you don´t like freezing, avoid in a cold night.
